MAJLIS PIMPINAN PAKATAN RAKYAT
8 Mac 2010
Pencabulan Hak Asasi Manusia Oleh BN

Press Release
8 March 2010
BN’s violation of Human Rights
1. Police was used to halt the public gathering held by Pakatan Rakyat. All these dirty tricks reminded the rakyat on what has happened during the era of Reformasi in 1998.
2. The rakyat has the rights for peaceful assembly. They also have the rights to listen to the speeches by their leaders, and to voice out their opinions regarding the state affairs. These are the basic rights protected by Malaysia constitution, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights under the United Nation.
3. In Malaysia today, police has acted against those rights given to the people. They have used excessive violence to stop the peaceful assembly. Permission for the peaceful assembly was not given, or given with unacceptable clauses. It is clear that police’s actions are the results of the directives from the BN’s government, and is not based on the factors of national security.
4. Therefore, Pakatan Rakyat will bring a number of cases regarding the abuse of power by the police to SUHAKAM for detail investigation and action thereafter. Pakatan Rakyat will also prepare a complete “Dosier” of the abuses of Malaysia government towards the basic rights of Malaysians, which are clearly against the agreed human rights principles under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of United Nation that was presented to International Human Rights Council. Representatives from Pakatan Rakyat will be travelling to ASEAN, New York and Brussels soon for this purpose.

Dear Saudara ANWAR IBRAHIM,
1) As you had mentioned, you said it’s a PUBLIC GATHERING & thus a POLICE PERMIT will be required. Do you have one? I think you should know better, correct?
2) You too mentioned that PERMIT will be given but with unacceptable clauses. Look…bottom line is that no one says PERMIT will NOT be given. You just need to play by the RULES & abiding to LAW is a MUST wherever go you. Am I correct?
3) You mentioned “given with unacceptable clauses”. What do you mean by unacceptable clauses? I’ll appreciate if you could define them clearly. Of course, there must be some sought of LIMITATION & CONTROL….otherwise, people will abuse these PERMIT for ILL HEARTED objectives. Could your “UNACCEPTABLE CLAUSES” contains ILL HEARTED objectives?
4) You mentioned “It is clear that police’s actions are the results of the directives from the BN’s government”. Based on this statement, it showed you’re already committing PREJUDICE without whatsoever PROOF & EVIDENCE. There’s saying which goes…”A wise man speaks with FACTS, FIGURES & PROOF, while a FOOL speaks with his MIND”. You certainly said it with your MIND (minus facts, figures & proof of course). Melayu cakap….”TUNJUK BUKTI SEBELUM BUKA MULUT”
5) I agree there should be HUMAN RIGHTS but you seems to abuse HUMAN RIGHTS for your own POLITICAL AGENDA. If someone were to go to a Palace & curse the SULTAN and thus in-return get handled by the Police……will you call it abuse of HUMAN RIGHTS??? Come on’ dude, we ought to exercise HUMAN RIGHTS in a more sensible & responsible manner. We can’t simple cry & shout “Abuse of HUMAN RIGHTS” when things are NOT done in a RESPONSIBLE way. Am I correct?

Dear Kian Yee , Which Planet are you from? Read and understand the contents, it did not mention anything on permit, what it mention is the right to assemble.

Well asked & said, Kian Ye.
You left out 1 question. Can one simply rob the bank & then cry “Abuse of Human Rights” when one is later being caught? Human Rights nonetheless is a MUST but it MUST be practiced & exercised in a way whereby it doesn’t go in conflict with Law & Order.

Kian Yee,the PADANG around Kelab Suleiman is part of a private property belonging to the SELANGOR STATE GOVT.THE FUNCTION of the 2nd Anniversay in the area DOES NOT DISTURB ANYONE,
because the area is surrounded by a School(which is closed at night)and some Govt office,so the POLICE SHOULDNT just budge in on a private function and ask for permit to gather…!!! They should instead go to make their presence at areas around CENTRAL Market on Sunday,or Chow Kit,
or KLCC,or Jalan Bukit Bintang to CONTROL those CROWDS of FOREIGNERS,who, when gathering, can POSE A THREAT to we,fellow Malaysians…….!!!!!!
