Again “race and quota”…! DSAI, LKS & DHHA,what is all this about.
I thought PAS can be trusted…..im a chinese and non muslim, with my advise to my famililes and relatives in Sungai Petani, we all voted for PAS for a betterment. Looks like it going to be worst after PAS controlling Kedah State Government…now PAS is singing the old UMNO’s songs and PAS (”Syaitan dalam Jubah Hijau”) is worst than UMNO,
PAS state government are immediately to stop all these “race and quota” policy immediately. Dont talk about next few months or GE to form a Federal Government, Pakatan Rakyat next few weeks will start to crumple…. same a recent MP’s resignation from Pakatan Rakyat. The first state to fall is Perak. Thats what you want ……rite Datuk Seri Azizan.

SUNGAI PETANI: The Kedah Government’s move to increase bumiputra quota in housing schemes from 30% to 50% will cripple the housing and related industries in the state.
Gurun assemblyman Dr Leong Yong Kong said this would lead to unemployment and cause serious damage to the state’s economy.
“The new requirement will discourage private developers from undertaking new housing schemes,“ he said.
He said even with the current 30% quota system, private housing developers were having problems selling units.
The state government should carry out a survey to find out why Malays could not buy houses or shoplots in private housing schemes, he said.
“It should then come up with solutions to help them instead of imposing a higher housing quota,” he said, commenting on Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak’s recent statement on a new bumiputra quota in housing schemes from 30% to 50% effective Sept 1.
On Saturday, Azizan said the state government would get government-linked companies to build affordable homes for Kedah if private developers were reluctant to do so.

What has been done by 1 party is not mean fault to whole the parties, everyone has mistaken, the important thing is try learn how to solve it, I believe Pakatan Rakyat won’t step aside eventually the next election they will still need Rakyat to support them too.

totally ridiculous movement of PAS.imagine if there is a piece of prime land in alor setar says somewhere near town centre and with the impose of 50% quota the land will defitely left empty forever.if the state doesn’t have any commercial development for the next ten years meaning that everybody will just stay at home no more domestic business activities going on.what kind of mind set is that?is PAS going to make the state as kampung forever?what do they mean by affordable houses?low cost?maybe they should provide free land and free house to everybody then they will get full support from peoples(Oh!pls also check out how many units are left for malay reserved quota and most importantly the so-called low cost units left in the state which is omposed by gov as well-perhaps they can buy up all the units left so that developers,buyers can be happy as well as fufilling the state imposed policies).on the other hand why don’t they just stimulate the economy then everybody will have money to live in luxurios houses and driving nice car.i think people would prefer the second option.we understand that PAS’s direction is always based on the concept of helping the poor but i think thier direction is wrong or lost.Pls go study econ asas 101 so that they know what is the modern paradigm of islamic country or maybe go check out the map where dubai is!!!.

you have to live in reality, not in the wonderland. go to sungai petani. have a stroll along lagenda heights, ambangan heights etc ie the high end areas in sungai petani. look with your own two eyes…how many houses belongs to the malays. developers are more keen to build RM300k and above where majority of kedah malays cannot afford.
what are you trying to tell? for the sake of equality, let one section of the community to occupy the areas while leaving the majority at the sideline, simply because they cannot afford to buy the houses?
what was done by ustaz azizan s indeed very wise. only a stupid MB will continue to allow mega housing projects in the name of developments while at the same time does nothing to help the unfortunate majority.
one thing i would suggest to the MB is to reserve 50% for malay (mind you malay makes 76% of kedah population), and at the same time reserves 10% for the indians.

Betui to shaq. Equality and fairness are are closely intertwined yet two different things. AK Tan tak faham atau buat2 tak faham benda ni.
If left uncontrolled, the entire demography of Kedah might change. It may benefit people like AK Tan, but would the majority of voters who voted for pAS like it? I don’t think so.

theorectical explaination-do you always go for tesco value toilet paper or scott?people have thier own income level and choices that’s why you have different market segmentation and thousands of different products in this world.it is the respect to individualism and the whole world.wasn’t it a good theory for socilism when it first started from karl marx?from history to presence the reality tells us that it has been a failure.there no more pure socialism in todays world anymore.best example why don’t you just impose a policy asking tesco just to sell tesco value product? it will be at the same time fair to everybody.Come on accept it our society is always not equal it is gov’s job to raise the income level of its people or maybe they can start a pure communist state so that everybody will share everything equally with each other.
realistically how many people who agree with the impose of 50% quota knows about the fact sheet in kedah?there are lots of malay reserved and low cost units left unsold(even the non malay units left unsold).It tells us that the state’s economy is growing super slow due to many factors like gov is doing enough to stimulate economy,bring in forign or private investment and so on….or developers are over building houses.it is not about races or religion from economic point of view supply should always equal to demand so that equalibrium can be acheived but that is not always the case.there is always short of rice or supplus of potatoe.The market itself will always correct it.if poorer people is the majority in kedah develepor will always try to fit in the demand and vice verser.if they over build in any end they will be the one who suffer eventually.statitic show us that majority of houses in kedah is low to medium cost not lagenda height.I think whenever we talk we should find out the fact 1st and of course also respect other peoples’ choice.if they have the capabilty to do something let them do it.The 50% thing contains great contect of racial issue.zakaria and abdul kadil live in palace what are we going to say about that?should we just impose a more direct policy by not allowing people to buy anything which is more then 100k?
PLs…..PAs leaders help the poor to be richer and yet respect others.you don’t need to impose racial quota in the economy.that will cripple the state and youself and remember economy is ecnomy just simple like that.

Matured citizens of Malaysia will never use “hurting words” such as “pegi ajee”, “pendatang”, blaaa blaaa blaaa. If somebody like Tan AK do not understand, kenapa tidak perjelaskan dengan nada yang baik (tunjuk-lah contoh orang Melayu yang lebih bersopan and mempunyai tamaddun yang tidak suka biadap atau kurang ajar). Dulu masa sekolah, i mempunyai perasaan menjaga sensitiviti kaum lain dalam pertuturan harian dengan mereka supaya tidak “hurt” orang lain. Tetapi sekarang nampaknya, semua macam hero aje, baik orang Melayu mahupun orang Cina, India, Kadazan, Iban dan lain-lain kaum Malaysian.Bersatu-lah dan perasaan Muhibbah mesti dipupuk dan jangan sekali-sekala tunjuk HERO. Orang macam Tan AK meluahkan kebimbangan “race and quota” akan meretakkan kesatuan PR. Jadi kita mesti menjawap secara sopan supaya dia turun-padang melihat sendiri kemiskinan dan kesusahan orang Melayu disitu..tidak seperti KL. Selepas MB Pakatan menyelesaikan masalah satu-persatu dan mengatur semula seluruh negeri menjadi SATU MALAYSIA tanpa “race and quota” baru lah semua kaum dikira MALAYSIAN.Saya berharap DSAI yang jadi HERO kesemua kaum. I have to agree Muhammad. What the people need is affordable home for all. If bumi have 50% quota so what. But of course what we don’t want is special discount for bumi. If you are poor means you are poor doesn’t matter who you are.

I hope your father is doing well. The last time I saw him was about 3/4 years ago in the same house at Tokun. I hope to meet up with your families when I return to Malaysia.
