Asia Sentinel - A medical report surfaces saying the male aide who filed charges against the opposition leader wasn’t molested. The doctor who examined a 23-year-old male aide allegedly sodomized by Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim found no evidence of tearing or scarring that would indicate penetration, according to a medical report leaked to local journalists.
If the document is genuine, it can be expected to raise further suspicions of complicity on the part of top government leaders in attempting to destroy Anwar politically. The charges against Anwar, filed by the youth on June 28, would have ended the opposition politician’s political career and put him back behind bars, where he had spent six years from 1999 on similar charges, which human rights organizations across the world condemned as trumped up. Sodomy is a crime punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment and caning.
Anwar was arrested two weeks after the youth filed the complaint and was jailed overnight on July 15 after police, some wearing balaclava masks, descended on his home, a move that raised political tensions in Kuala Lumpur and sent Anwar’s supporters into the streets around the police station where he was being held. He refused at that time to give a DNA specimen, charging that it could be misused. .
According the medical report, which allegedly was filed at Hospital Pusrawi Sdn Bhd on Jalan Tun Razak in Kuala Lumpur, the aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, was examined by Dr Mohamed Osman on June 28 at 2 pm. After he had gone to the hospital to complain about pain he said he was suffering in his anus, he allegedly told hospital personnel that he had been assaulted by a “very important person.”
After Dr Mohamad refused to write a report that Saiful had been sodomized, according to Malaysia Today, the doctor suggested that the youth obtain another diagnosis at a government hospital. Doctors at that hospital also refused to confirm a diagnosis of sodomy, according to the publication, although it did not name the doctors.
Nonetheless, Malaysia Today reported, Saiful filed the report of assault at a nearby police kiosk four hours later.
After Mohamad Osman made the report indicating no sexual assault had taken place, police picked up the doctor and detained him for three days to attempt to persuade him to change his diagnosis, according toMalaysia Today. The doctor, the publication said, has since gone into hiding with his family.
In a telephone interview with Asia Sentinel, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ismail Omar confirmed that Dr Mohamad had been questioned, but said he had never been detained.
Attempts to reach hospital officials were unsuccessful. They were said to be in a meeting. However, although the medical report could not be independently verified, a senior Pusrawi Hospital official told the Internet publication Malaysiakini this morning that the hospital had launched an internal investigation on how Saiful’s medical report was leaked, which is widely considered as a major infringement of patient privacy.
When Malaysiakini showed the official a copy of the report, he refused to return it but he didn’t describe it as fake, saying, “It’s our document.”
Anwar’s party issued a statement saying that “the medical report leaked today appears to confirm what we have always believed - that the allegations against Anwar Ibrahim are without merit and politically motivated.”
The existence of the report, the statement continued, “further erodes any confidence the public would have in the credibility of the police report that has been filed against Anwar Ibrahim, a report which remains shrouded in secrecy. Why has this medical report surfaced only today, over one month after the allegations were made, after (Anwar) spent a night in jail, and after the police have spent so much time and money on this case?”
Anwar and his three-party coalition, made up of his own Parti Keadilan Rakyat, the Democratic Action Party and Parti Islam se-Malaysia, are in a no-holds-barred contest to oust the ruling Barisan Nasional, or National Coalition, from 50 years of unbroken power. In March 8 elections, the opposition coalition broke the two-thirds hold of the barisan on the Dewan Rakyat, or parliament, for the first time since independence.
Anwar was in jail and the political wilderness for a decade after he broke with former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad in 1998. Although the 1999l sodomy charge against him was later reversed, the 61-year-old former deputy prime minister was barred from running for political office because the corruption charge remained. That ban, however, has been repealed and Anwar expects to stand in a by-election. If he is victorious, he has repeatedly forecast that in mid-September he will lure enough pro-barisan lawmakers this side to take over the government. Anwar has made numerous allegations of political corruption against top leaders of the United Malays National Organisation, the lead party in the three-party Barisan Nasional.
If the coalition indeed takes power, top members of the government, the judiciary and law enforcement have a great deal to fear. Anwar has already sought to have his original conviction reversed and has filed charges against Abdul Ghani Patail, the attorney general, and Musa Hassan, the chief of police for allegedly fabricating the evidence against him in the original case.
Malaysia Today earlier reported that a witness told the publication Saiful had met with Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, the designated successor to Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Anwar’s rival for political power, concerning the filing of the charges although Najib had first told reporters he had never met with the youth and later said he had only met him briefly for “career counseling.”
Raja Petra himself has been a major source of embarrassment to the government, directly accusing Najib and his wife of being involved in the brutal execution murder of Mongolian translator Altantuya Shaariibuu, who was shot twice in the head in October of 2006 and dumped in a patch of jungle before she was blown up with plastic explosive. In response, the government - although neither Najib nor his wife - has charged Raja Petra with both sedition and criminal libel, a statute that is very rarely used today and deals with the danger to national security.
Raja Petra, a member of the Selangor sultanate, has refused to back down, saying that if he goes to jail, he intends to take Najib down with him. Prime Minister Badawi has fully backed Najib and named him as his successor. Despite numerous attempts to get Najib into court for interrogation, the judge in the year-old trial of one of his best friends and two of his bodyguards for Altantuya’s murder has refused to call him, most recently last week.

The Parliamentarians including the Prime minister and the Minister of Home Affairs should be gentlemen enough to apologize to Anwar Ibrahim for the inferences of guilt by demanding his DNA.
These Parliamentarians should support the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry to get into the root of this fiasco to prevent any recurrence in the future!
Parliament should be wise to establish an Oversight Committee to oversea the conduct of every Departments conforms with the Laws of the Country!
When I first read about the medical documents in MT, I was overjoyed. I said to my family and friends “now those desperate corrupt fools at BN are gonna get it.” Then the party died down and a funny feeling sunk in. Are the documents real? Are the powers that be so stupid that they cook up such a half bake conspiracy? Or are they too eager to bring DSAI down so badly that they didn’t check whether Saiful was telling them the truth? Can’t they just get a doctor under their payroll to do a medical check on Saiful? Or is Saiful actually DSAI’s trojan horse? Hmmmm…. I have stopped watching TV and Astro. This is far more interesting. But as interesting as it may be, I realise that it also concern us and our children. I do not want my children to grow up as I had. I want them to have better lives. The Malay proverb “Sudah terang, lagi bersuluh” - (lighting up an already bright area) would best describe the revelation of the medical report. With the report, it just confirmed the fact that this sodomy allegation is non other then just a political ploy to destroy the future of Malaysian. Something that we have already known from the start. And I said Malaysian because this is not just about Anwar anymore, but Anwar as a symbol of democracy and justice in Malaysia.
No wonder the police report that Saiful had lodged was never handed to DSAI, because there is no substance whatsoever. Even the medical report confirmed that the alleged incident never took place. In that case, the police should now drop all charges against Anwar and charge Saiful for lodging a false police report! That is a crime by itself. But honestly, I doubt that that is going to happen because, as we all know, Saiful is now under the ‘protection’ of some powerful people.
Yeah, the same powerful people who initially deny ever meeting/knowing Saiful, then later admitted that Saiful had actually came to him for advise about the sodomy issue. I remember reading his comment of how pale and shaken Saiful looked like when he came to this powerful people to tell him about the alleged sodomy. This is where it doesn’t make sense. If someone came to you to complaint about him being sodomized, would you easily forget the name/face?? So, why deny in the first place, unless if you have something to hide.

KUALA LUMPUR, 30 Julai (Hrkh) - Hospital Pusrawi menjelaskan Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan datang mendapatkan pemeriksaan dengan Pegawai Perubatan Dr Muhamad Osman Abdul Hamid di hospital berkenaan kerana sakit perut bukannya liwat.
Dalam kenyataan yang diedarkan kepada wartawan, hospital itu juga tidak mengaku mereka mengeluarkan sebarang maklumat rasmi kepada mana-mana pihak mengenai laporan perubatan Mohd Saiful sebagaimana yang disebar meluas di internet.
Pusrawi juga menjelaskan Dr Muhamad hanya merupakan seorang Pegawai Perubatan (General Practitioner) yang bertugas di klinik kemalangan dan kecemasan hospital berkenaan dan bukannya seorang doktor pakar.
Menurut Pusrawi Dr Muhamad juga menasihatkan pesakit Mohd Saiful supaya diperiksa lanjut oleh doktor pakar di hospital kerajaan.
“Tidak ada pemeriksaan dilakukan selanjutnya berkaitan dengan aduan sodomi,†sebagaimana dipetik dalam kenyataan itu.
Dalam sidang media itu, Pengurus Besar Pusrawi Wan Mahmood Wan Yaacob berkata laporan pemeriksaan Mohd Saiful tersebut kelihatan ‘genuine’ tetapi yang asli ada padanya.
Dr Muhamad Osman yang mula berkhidmat di Pusrawi pada Januari 2008 dan kini beliau dikatakan bercuti dan akan mula bertugas semula pada Isnin ini.
Wan Mahmood hairan bagaimana laporan pemeriksaan Mohd Saiful boleh bocor dan memberi jaminan akan mengambil tindakan kepada mereka yang terlibat.
Dalam pada itu, Pengarah Perubatan Dr Kamaruddin Ahmad yang turut serta dalam sidang media itu, tidak menolak ada pihak tertentu yang diupah untuk membocorkan maklumat pemeriksaan Mohd Saiful.
Wan Mahmood berkata, terdapat dua orang doktor yang telah memeriksa Mohd Saiful pada hari berkenaan salah seorangnya adalah perempuan.
Oleh sebab itu, terdapat jenis tulisan tangan yang berbeza pada laporan tersebut bagaimanapun beliau tidak memberi butiran lanjut berhubung identiti doktor wanita tersebut. - mks._ “)

Disini sudah jelas apa yang dipaparkan nampak genuine bermaksud antara keduanya ada persamaan samaada ianya original atau tidak tidak menjadi hal yang penting kesamaan antara original dan copynya.
Degan pengakuan pengarahnya itu sudah jelas, apa yang tertulis itu adalah sama dengan apa yang original didalam simpanan mereka. Dan sekiranya Isnin ini sekiranya Dr Muhamad pulang dari bercuti seperti apa yang telah dikatakan oleh Pengurus Besar Dr Wan Mahmood Wan Yaacob, Berkemungkinan besar boleh berubah, samaada dipaksa membuat lapuran baru atau sebaliknya disebabkan Hal-Hal yang berkaitan ugutan dan sebagainya ini berkemungkinan akan berlaku. Kembali kepada lapuran Hospital tentang not sodomised. Kenapa perkataan itu diguna pakai???
Kalaulah hanya pemeriksaan biasa kenapa Dr Muhammad menyebut didalam lapurannya not sodomised???
Berhati-hati…….dengan Pengarah Besar Wan Mahmood Wan Yaacob ini???? dan berkemungkinan besar sekiranya Dr Muhammad pulang bercuti(mengikut apa yang dikatakan oleh Pengarah Besar, Dr Wan Mahmood Wan Yaacob), berkemungkinan besar lapuran Hospital akan berubah.??? Tapi kalau Dr Muhamad menghilang diri bermakna benarlah apa yang dilapurkan. Kita tunggu dan lihat Isnin ini.
Dan apa pulak lapuran yang akan dikeluarkan oleh Hospital Besar K.Lumpur. Sekiranya tiada conspiracy berlaku di Hospital besar bermaksud akan keselamatan lapuran dari Hospital terjamin, tapi sekiranya ada dalang disebaliknya, berkemungkinan pemalsuan document diHospital Besar akan berlaku memandangkan apa yang sedang berlaku didalam pemenrhatian pemalsu-pemalsu. Kalau inilah yang akan berlaku, lebih baik lapuran hospital Besar dibocorkan dulu.(Mana tahu ada Hamba Allah yang rasa ingin berlaku adil, takut kepada hukuman Allah SWT) supaya kita tahu akan kebenarannya!!!

Saya masih alhi UMNO dan belum lagi joint PKR tetapi saya berpendapat UMNO akan pupus dan menjadi lemah sebelum 2020.
UMNO telak melaksanakan tugas yang baik dimasa lampau tetapi mampukah UMNO membawa kita di zaman akan datang. Mampukah UMNO menunjukan kita jalan.
Saya tidak yakin UMNO mampu, keyakinan saya telah semangkin PUPUS dan saya yakin apa yang dikatakan oleh pembangkang memang ada benarnya. Kita lihat sahaja apa yang berlaku pada hari ini, contoh nya kesah main bontot rata-rata orang UMNO percaya DSI mampu melakukannya. Dari PM sehingga ke ahli UMNO biasa semua percaya.
PM sebagai bapa contohnya jika ada kesah mengarut sepatutnya mengambil tindakan tegas menasihat dan merotan anak-anak yang tolol. Tetapi malang kita tidak memiliki pemimpin yang berakal, bijaksana dan tegas.
Cuba kita fikir sebagai lelaki dewasa jika ada orang nak main bontot kita pa langkah yang patut kita buat, mudah aja lari, lawan, tepis, sepak zakar DSI, terajang dan cabut lah. Cuba kita main bontot monyet, monyet pun lari dan melawan inikan Pemuda Melayu Rakyat Malaysia. Tak masuk akal kita punya rakyat yang begitu lemah sehingga bontotnya boleh dipergunakan sebigitu.
Bangunlah rakyat Malaysia berfikir dan jangan ikut kata aja. Contohnya baru-baru ini ada dakwaan oleh seorang rakyat Malaysia, bangsa india, dewasa mengatakan Dato Sri najib dan isterinya mengamalkan ajaran Hindu. Perkara ini mest disiasat dengan teliti kerana ianya sangat meresahkan. Nama DPM mesti dibersihkan.
Malangnya kerajaan hanya mengambil tindakan menutup laman web Raja Petra. Kenapa kerajaan kita tidak siasat aja kenyataan itu, nama dan alamat pengadu jelas dipaparkan. Apa kita masih sembunyi.
Kita lihat aja bagaimana kerajaan kita membeli kapal perang peronda luar pantai dengan harga lebih kurang RM1Billion sebuah.
Wau mahalnya apa yang kita beli, RM1Billion kalau kita beli rumah dengan harga
RM100,000 sebuah kita boleh beli 10,000 rumah dan boleh tempatkan 60,000 orang hampir semua orang di Permatang Pauh boleh pindah kebandar baru.
Kenapa berlaku pembaziran, kenapa berlaku terlebih bayar sehinga teguran oleh Jabatan Audit Negara tidak diambil tindakkan. Apa kita mahu orang yang sama memimpin kita dam merosakkan kita.
Bangunlah rakyat Malaysia bangun dan jangan tidur lagi.
Kita lihat saja MP kita dari Johor yang sangat lemah tak ubah seperti lalang. Mereka lupa kitalah yang mengundi mereka, sedara-sedara kita dan keturunan kitalah yang selama ini menyanjung mereka.
Tapi malamg mereka gagal menunjukkan perubahan mereka semua PONDAN yang hanya mampu menghunus keris tapi sumbang BERSILAT.
Pantang anak Johor ketuanya PONDAN. MALU2
Demi masa depan marilah kita cari pemimpin baru, kalau dah tak ada dalam UMNO kita cari tempat lain. Kalau UMNO sudah tandus kita pindah. Saya pun nak pindah ke PAS ke atau parti lain.
