Attempt to Suspend Me a Rotten Joke, Says Anwar

From Malaysian Insider
By Shannon Teoh

Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has described a possible censure over his allegations in Parliament that 1 Malaysia was copied from Ehud Barak’s 1 Israel as a “rotten joke”.

The Permatang Pauh MP also insisted that it was a “strange coincidence” both the Malaysian and Israeli administrations had hired public relations consultants, Apco Worldwide.

When quizzed about Apco’s denial of having coined either term, Anwar countered: “Then what are they taking money for? To pay for what? Apco should not be involved in domestic politics in our country.”

While admitting that the timing was circumstantial, he said the onus was still on the government to explain Apco’s involvement transparently.

Barisan Nasional (BN) had insisted that Apco, which The Malaysian Insider understands was contracted for a sum of RM20 million, was not involved in the conception of “1 Malaysia” and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz has said that the matter of referring the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) lawmaker to the Rights and Privileges Committee would be discussed in the Cabinet.

The PKR de facto leader, whose party has been rocked by the loss of several MPs recently, also explained that his allegations had been taken out of context, and was in fact, a retort against Umno’s persistent accusations that the former deputy prime minister was a pawn of Jewish interests.

“Let’s put it in context. I have no problems with Jewish advisors but Umno leaders have been using this Jewish connection to claim that there is a conspiracy and Anwar is an agent of the Jews,” he said in a press conference after speaking at the London School of Economics yesterday.

Instead, he said that Umno Youth chief, Khairy Jamaluddin, was the one making false accusations, after the Rembau MP had brought up Anwar’s tenure as chair of the Washington-based Foundation for the Future, which Khairy claimed was a Zionist organisation.

Anwar insisted that it was an initiative by various governments, including the United States and members of the European Union, and therefore, Khairy should be the one being referred to the Rights and Privileges committee.

“Umno befriends nasty Jews and some of them are Zionists,” he added.
Anwar will speak again today at Westminster University after a busy schedule that also included meetings with Al Gore and Mary Robinson, former vice-president of the United States and former president of Ireland respectively.

    MALAYSIA IS NOT SAFE!!!

Of late. I have voiced my concern about the problem of one Malaysian battleship catching fire during its lunching. What is a battleship if it Catches fire during launching, and not because of a torpedo from the enemy?

I also expressed surprised at how jet engines can be smuggled out of its army secure storage to be sold into the black market. Everywhere people are finding it totally unbelievable that such a huge and heavy consignment could have been smuggled out only with the authority of a sergeant.

We have also heard cases of jetfighter pilots crashing their crafts and dying during training. And we are not yet in combat war! There was one case in Tenom when a jet fighter flew between the high electrical cables near Pangi hydro station many years ago.

The army denied the incident, and an official from the electricity board at that time commented that if the plane so much as touched the wires it would have instantly turned into a fireball!

Now that we have the problem of our first submarine being unable to dive upon delivery, all I can think of us is how far our authorities can keep up with the requirements of the security of our country.

How embarrassing that the submarine, whose purchase has become international news, has now proven to be useless. What if it is submarine can dive? The submarine is affected by a curse that came from the high-profile murder is linked with it?

Now that the submarine has dived into a new low by not being able to dive, we are flabbergasted and stand in awe at how ridiculous the story is. It is so embarrassing that it happened this in Japan or England the minister concerned would have resigned immediately.

And I will not be surprised that after diving it would not be able to resurface! It’s Dismal failure on the part of the government to manage the people’s money, not to mention the serious implications on the nation’s security.

This happens within a series of serious security problems in the country. Only recently the top brass in KL heavily criticized the international security advisory, warning tourists about going to the East Coast of Sabah because of the treat of pirates and abductions, assuring everyone that the area was very safe.

The abduction happened an involving two people whose Whereabouts is still a mystery to the navy. Are foreign intelligence having better information about our own security than us?

As of today, the government is still trying to downplay the issue, citing a local dispute with salary. A recent news story quoted the local population and fishermen as totally unaffected by the incident and they are “still going out to sea as if nothing has happened.”

Obviously this story was manufactured to pacify people. But it did reflect the real situation? The fact is that despite all the sea Patrols, the borders are still very porous as proven by the huge number of illegal immigrants still being able to come to Sabah.

At this point, it is also pertinent to note that we joined Malaysia mainly on the excuse that we needed to enhance our security from the treats of Sukarno’s Confrontation and the Philippines claim on Sabah.

But as things are today there appears to be failure on KL’s part to give us that security. The federal government needs to more than merely give assurance on security when the real need to beef up security everywhere in the nation.

WHERE DID THE ALLOCATION FOR SABAH GO??????

WE understand that Sabah has a large financial allocation, amounting to approximately RM6 billion for the development of our agriculture sector and the people of Sabah great pleasure, want to know from Datuk Seri Musa Aman as Chief Minister, to inform people of Sulawesi, where and how the provisions for agricultural development it spent?

We do not accuse Musa Aman abusing Funding RM6 billion is allocated for the agriculture sector, but do not blame if people want to know where the money is used perginya?

As a leader of a transparent and honest to the people and if there is no deviation to the above provisions, Musa Aman are happy to provide edge-channel description will travel these provisions?

This is where people will assess the transparency of the administrative leaders of UMNO Sabah because of what they should do to every provision of the provisions of the Government, every cent should be used to funnel to the people and not for the interests of certain parties or channeled to other channels?

We also expect the Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Remove mengauditkan per cent will be people who have money allocated to Sabah soon to be Audited expenditure if there is any inverse. We hope that immediate action will be taken and drag any of the individuals involved to face pengadillan. Lest if the audit system is not ‘handicap; where – where the parties’ interest’.

People want to hear any ‘action’ is not cover-up such as Dato ‘Najib explains’ story cover-up’ lost military jet engines, where considered by the Awi as a ‘non-asset Country’ because of the jet engine is characterized by Najib as ‘old goods’.

If Najib assumes the stolen jet engine as ‘old goods’ non-asset country, this means that the Prime Minister of Malaysia ‘encourage’ other ‘old goods’ is not one if stolen because they are not assets of? (Please refer to TV3 last Saturday and newspaper Utusan Malaysia last Sunday).

If so, do not salahlah case no more ’soldiers’ who steal ‘old goods’ in savings store for taking the ‘precedent’ of the case before? Therefore, would be more ‘valuable goods long’ will be lost from storage in the store!

Back to the allocation of RM6 billion for agriculture of Sabah, we take the statement issued last Saturday by TV3 Dato ‘Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein that’ in UMNO ‘no one immune from the law.

We want to deliver his speech he said if there is any members or leaders of UMNO who violate the law. Is it possible or no more ‘black sheep system that would be sacrificed in order to save’ someone ‘?

Therefore, we ask the Auditor General to conduct audits of the Sabah Government expenditure projects either through open tender or tender price negotiable instructions contrary to the Treasury and Finance Procedure Act.

If the tender rundingharga occur in Sabah, Musa Aman should also be investigated by the Auditor General and National Audit Department investigation results shall be ‘Blue print’ knowledge as the people of Sabah.

We are not not believe in Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) to investigate, but people have less confidence in the integrity of the SPRM less work correctly because Musa Aman regarded as too resistant and waterproof action SPRM in Sabah.

We do not accuse, but not one we want to know if the transparency UMNO / BN in Sabah. We ask UMNO and BN has proven that they perform their duties with honesty and responsibility without any ’shrimp behind the stone’.

We ask UMNO and BN immediately ’stretch’ their way or if they will not lose all their power and position in the coming PRU13. God willing.

    Salam DSAI,

GEMPUR!

Zahrain can make accusation in Parliament against many MPs without a shred of proof and no action is taken against him.
Instead police reports are made based on his claim. Looks like anybody on UMNO’s side can make statement without any fear.

SABAH COULD HAVE BEEN RICHER THAN BRUNEI AND SINGAPORE!!!!

WE want to call on Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Alfred Jabu Anak Numpang to prove that he’s a ’somebody’ as he implies by briefing the people on his track record in defending the rights of Sabah and Sarawak under the 1963 Malaysia Agreement.

We challenge Jabu to an open debate on the issues raised by the Common Interest Group Malaysia (Cigma) during their briefing to members of the House of Commons in London on March 9.

Jabu is turning a blind eye to the serious plight of Malaysians in Sabah. Or is it more likely that he is actually ignorant about the horrendous problems faced by Sabahans because he has not been to Sabah often enough.

Cigma’s memorandum titled ‘Shattered Hopes and Broken Dreams’ detailed Sabah’s expectations upon independence as were promised by Tunku Abdul Rahman and under the Malaysia Agreement, the Intergovernmental Committee Report and the 20 Points, the issue of state security and threats to national sovereignty.

These included ‘reverse takeovers’ arising from the influx of illegal immigrants, poverty, unfair sharing of oil revenue, lack of fair benefits from land alienation to Felda and Felcra, and other socio-economic problems as a result of the unjust distribution of wealth and opportunities for Sabah from the national economic cake.

Over the past 50 years ‘various modifications and adjustments’ to the Malaysia Agreement have eroded the rights and privileges of Sabahans. Forty-six years after independence, Sabah is now the poorest state despite its abundant natural resources.

Whatever good we had received from Malaysia, it is all totally negated by the fact that we are not secure as a state and that the federal government has reaped a huge economic harvest from Sabah and returned so little to us.

Since the takeover of Umno/BN in Sabah in 1994, Sabah had been plundered to the point of becoming the poorest state in Malaysia. We are in such dire straits with a very uncertain future, so what is the point of praising the government? Jabu surely knows that Sarawak has had no better deal in Malaysia than Sabah.

He must not think Sabah is in the same position as Sarawak which still has some of its original rights intact. Even Umno daren’t enter Sarawak. But we in Sabah are in a much more different situation. We are under a state government which is under the directive of Kuala Lumpur.

Brunei, which opted out of Malaysia, and Singapore which later left the federation, are in a much better economic position regionally and globally. In fact, with all the rich natural resources that we have, Sabah should be richer than Brunei.

We reiterate that we are ready for an open debate on these issues with Jabu anytime at any venue of Jabu’s choice. Let the people judge who is a ‘nobody in his own country.’ At the moment, the consensus of public opinion is that Jabu is a proxy and stooge of the ruling elite in Kuala Lumpur and hence a traitor to our people.

There is nothing wrong in Cigma calling for the re-activation of the Inter-Governmental Committee on the Malaysia Agreement. The IGC was meant to be a permanent institution to monitor the Malaysia Agreement.

Jabu must explain why the IGC has fallen into inactivity and disuse over the years. We call upon the Malaysian federal gov’ernment and the governments of Sabah, Sarawak, Singapore and the UK to return to the IGC as soon as possible, failing which we will relentlessly pursue the matter further in various international forums.

We appeal that the governments of Indonesia and the Philippines be accorded observer status at the IGC. The presence of Indonesia will ensure that the re-colonisation of Sabah and Sarawak by Malaya, after the departure of the British, is reversed. The late President Sukarno of Indonesia did warn against re-colonisation when he launched his policy of konfrantasi (confrontation) and ganjang Malaysia (hang M’sia) in 1963.

The presence of the Philippines will ensure that we can bring the so-called Sabah claim to a closure. Following the successful briefing at the House of Commons in London on Mach 9, we intend to pursue the introduction of an EDM (Early Day Motion) on the Malaysia Agreement in the British Parliament as soon as the forthcoming UK general elections are over.

DS Anwar,..you are only peoples’ leader. Leader has behind him million followers. Banning, arresting you, jailing you wouldn’t help. It won’t work. This is simply because they cannot whatsoever jail your million supporters ! They (rakyat) are like the silence majoeity..or a huge tsunami waiting for the right moment, right time to swallow or submerged on those corrupted UmNgok Be End leaders ! I believe..by jailing you..you’ll get double or treble sympathies or more supports. So..jailing you would be a new Nelson Mandela. Let them jail you..so that we will witness the colossal wave of support coming soon..

So, as I see it..UmNgok will not be braved enough to jail you..UmNgok ni kekadang cerdik jugak. Strategi makan tuan membuatkan mereka dlm dilema..mereka pun tau..gel.ombang tsunami akan membadai mereka jika DS dihumbankan dlm penjara.

    Rakyat will free you later.

My advice to Be End/ UmNgok..don’t make wrong gamble..this man (Anwar) will suffocate you all – the corrupt leaders – to death..or make you regret later. Melainkan anda menghormatinya sebagai ahli politik secara gentlemen.
