IN THE PAST two years, Malaysia, which has been a one-party state since it gained independence in 1957, has made remarkable strides toward becoming a democracy. That it has done so is mostly due to the efforts and political talent of one man — Anwar Ibrahim. So the fact that Mr. Anwar went on criminal trial last week should deeply concern the democratic world. The outcome could determine whether one of Asia’s most economically successful countries preserves its stability and embraces long-overdue reforms.
A former deputy prime minister in the ruling party, Mr. Anwar was deposed and jailed in 1998 by former Malaysian strongman Mahathir Mohamad. A manifestly unfair trial followed in which Mr. Anwar was convicted of homosexual sodomy, which shamefully remains a crime in Malaysia. Six years later, the conviction was overturned by a court, and Mr. Anwar resumed his political career — this time as an open champion of democracy in Malaysia and other Muslim countries.
Mr. Anwar succeeded in forging a coalition of opposition parties, including his own multiracial People’s Justice Party, an Islamic party, and a secular party. He has campaigned against the government’s toxic policy of racial discrimination, which funnels economic favors to well-connected members of the ethnic Malay majority. In the past two years, his coalition has pulled off a string of stunning victories in state and parliamentary by-elections; it now controls four of 13 state governments. If led by Mr. Anwar, it would have a fair chance of winning the next national election in 2013.
That’s one reason it’s suspicious that, three months after the state election victories in 2008, Mr. Anwar was once again accused of sodomy. Another is that his young male accuser was seen with aides of Najib Razak, who is now prime minister; Mr. Anwar says he has evidence that the accuser met with the prime minister and his wife shortly before making his charge. A third is that the case has been transferred from criminal court to a higher court whose judges are closely linked to the ruling party.
If Mr. Anwar is convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison and would be banned from politics for five years. He is 62. The ruling party no doubt hopes a conviction will cause the opposition coalition to crumble. But it could just as easily provoke a backlash against Mr. Najib or street demonstrations that could destabilize the country. That’s why the Obama administration and other Western governments interested in stability in Asia should make clear that the imprisonment of Mr. Anwar would be a blatant human rights violation — and not in Malaysia’s interest.
Semua manusia cintakan perpaduan. Jika Umno-BN tetap berpura-pura, Dunia akan semakin hilang kepercayaan kepada mereka. Inilah ketetapan yang tidak dapat diubah. Keraguan menjadikan Dunia kecewa dengan pendirian Pemimpin Umno-BN. Jadi, bagaimana pentadbiran BN mampu untuk menentang ‘pandangan serong’ Dunia terhadap mereka. Mustahil dan banyak kesan buruknya.
Yang bakal menerima nasib malang ialah RAKYAT MALAYSIA. Maka, hasil kejahilan dan rakus Pemimpin Umno-BN, rakyat jadi sengsara. Jangan berdolak-dalik serta menunding jari bahawa pelaburan menyusut kerana ‘demontrasi’ parti pembangkang. Terlalu ‘kebudak-budakan’ mentaliti Pemimpin Umno-BN. Maka, sampai bila sikap tidak matang Pemimpin Umno-BN perlu dibiarkan ?
Peribadi manusia rakus, rela melakukan apa sahaja. Lihatlah apa yang dilakukan oleh mereka terhadap DSAI yang dianggap sebagai musuh politik. Hanya kerana bimbang terbuka ‘tembelang’ maka DSAI ‘dikambing-hitamkan’. Sungguh malang !
Maka, jangan biarkan mereka sehingga tergamak ‘menggadai’ apa sahaja demi kepentingan diri atau tujuan menyelamatkan diri mereka yang sering terdesak dan tersepit. Pemimpin Umno-BN mendedahkan diri mereka sendiri sebagai ‘makhluk’ tidak punya maruah. Mereka yang mencemar kebahagian diri sendiri. Dan mereka sendiri yang membuka ruang kebinasaan untuk diri mereka dan pengikut mereka.
Nescaya saudara akan lihat keperitan yang mereka tanggung akan lebih menekan hidup mereka yang semakin tertekan. Kehidupan dirasuk oleh rasa bahang panas kerana ketelanjuran. Nak ditarik tuduhan sudah terlanjur. Nak diterus pula, berdepan dengan kesulitan. Maka, mereka sendiri yang menggali lubang kubur untuk diri mereka sendiri.
Inilah tabiat manusia seumpama kata orang : Takdo kojo cari kojo. Kojo Umno-BN menyusahkan diri sendiri dan membahayakan orang lain. Dah terbang semula burung tu, Datuk Seri. Tempat lain plak ! Dah tak senang duduk ! Sapa yang cari susah ? Biar ‘laki-bini’ tu jawab !

Bukan apa, haji mokhtar ! Pasai ada sorang doktor ‘sasau’ campur-tangan. Kalu dah pencen, duduk diam-diam. Dosa tinggi menggunung. Tapi, tak nak terima hakikat kamu banyak dosa.
Punya nak jaga ‘periok nasi’…’senduk dan pinggan’ yang jadi mangsa. Tau kenapa , haji mokhtar…’diratahnya’ pasai sayang kat ‘periok’ ! Hahaha…

This write up just serves to show how little the author actually knows about Malaysia.
He conveniently leaves out certain details and glosses over, however inaccurately, other issues.
We are not a one party state. This is just an insult to PAS and DAP who have been around for decades. In the case of PAS, since independence.
Sodomy ‘shamefully’ remains a crime? Leaving aside my opinion of Anwar’s guilt or otherwise, let me remind the author and others of his ‘democratic’ ilk, that even if Pakatan Rakyat wins the next GE, sodomy shall remain an abhorrent act in this country.
Another reminder, Anwar was a large and willing part of those policies he now wishes (or does he?) to discard. And a major beneficiary to boot. Else he would not have had the financial means to fight on for so long.

The Washington Post is one of the most influential newspapers in USA and around the world and for it to highlight this trial shows deep concern for Malaysia’s dimming democracy.
Even though this BN government may tell it and foreign governments to back off as they claim this is an internal problem, the fact of the matter is that they are dealing with a highly respected and recognised figure of international stature like DSAI who is acknowldged as one of the top 50 most influential persons in the world, not our PM or M Kutty unfortunately.
This international backlash would have far reaching effect on our economy and standing as a trading nation.
DSAI, never fear, the good people are strongly with you and will not forsake you. FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!! GOOD WILL ALWAYS OVERCOME EVIL!!!

Menteri Dato Mustaffa Muhamad berkata secara berputar putar kesudahanya dalam Akhbar tertulis pada 2009 Negara kehilangan 50% pelaburan asing so apa sudah jadi ??
Apakah negara dah macam ini punya kurang pelaburan asing UMNO masih nak bertegang urat?? dengan PR. jangan sampai Rakyat menbuat satu keputusan yang di luar jangka oleh PR mahu pun UMNO BN.dalam dunia cyber ini segalanya mungkin. oleh itu UMNO BN dan PR harus melihat bahawa Rakyat bukan sahaja tuan bah kan sebagai “saham penentu” didalam Negaranya. UMNO dan sang penguasa leka dengan kuasa yang di mandatkan.

This is just reminding those ruling idiots that the whole world is watching. As highligted by Hj Mokhtar comments, 3 doctors examined and found no penetration, then how the hell is DNA found inside of saiful. Again laughable matter but still wants to use as evidence.Of course there many more doubtful evidence. Should Anwar be found guilty, there can only be one reason – Anwar did not “force it in”, they “force it thru”.
Just a reminder, it’s not so important the world is watching, it’s more important Malaysia is watching. But then again they are ARROGANT thru and thru. Salam.

Malaysia ruling party always warn other countries not to meddle with our internal affairs. Reason will be after witnessing Iraq’s failed state.
Iraq will be also a lesson well learned by all ‘above the law Institution’ if there are any. True to say if there are no other higher Instituitions of other countries, than no one can see justice if CRIME are committed by our very own Institution… GOOD EXAMPLE Mr Saddam a role model to all of us.
No one is above the law, a person cannot be shielded by the Institution , claim the power and go on rampage with his TUNJUK KUASA, if he is not doing right or power abuse. Nevertheless, those who had done so , will be anti DSAI, for fear of being exposed and convicted later.
Clearly , before every body’s eyes – people in power will always want the power to stay with them for their own benefits and rarely will benefit the Rakyat as supposedly should be taken care by them. WAKIL RAKYAT means wakil sendiri good example will be YB TANG SEE HANG Rawang – five times elected but nothing was done….land was claim by his POWER and under proxy’s name. He has gotten off scott free. Enrichmenet by way of his EXCO status for land grab. Who dare touch him as he is influential and RICH ……… this is power I suppose?????????????

Assalamulaikum.
Sebagai seorang Islam saya merasa terlalu aib apabila kes ini telah jadi bualan harian. Terpapar pada seluruh media masa dilihat oleh kanak-kanak,remaja,tuan guru, mubaliq dan seluruh masyarakat dunia.Bagi saya ini lah kes yang melibatkan maruah agama,bangsa dan individu yang paling dasyat didunia. Seorang tokoh yang ditampilkan sebagai pejuang Islam diaibkan dengan skendal luar tabii manusia. Ini memberikan imej yang buruk kepada agama.
Saiful membawa kes ini kemahkamah dengan alasan untuk mempertahankan hak nya yang telah dinodai. Dilihat sekali pandang wajar bagi saiful mendapatkan haknya kerana beliau terinaya kerana kononnya beliau telah dilakukan begitu rupa. Tapi sekiranya saiful seorang yang kuat berpegang kepada agama tidakkah mampu saiful mempertahankan dirinya semasa kejadian tersebut berlaku. Mungkin pada saya sanggup melakukan apa saja untuk mempertahankan diri saya pada waktu itu daripada saya tercemar dan di aibkan serta menanggong dosa yang amat besar ini. Saya tidak yakin Saiful tidak mampu mempertahankan dirinya. Begitulah juga banyak aduan kes rogol yang berlaku di Negara ini semasa melakukan perbuatan terkutuk itu atas dasar cinta dan sebagainya apabila timbul masalah dilapurkan ia dirogol. Sekiranya kita takut kepada Allah saya yakin kejadian seperti ini sukar berlaku.
Kesan dari tindakan saiful tidak mempertahankan diri semasa kejadian tersebut. Imej islam tercemar,maruah saiful dan keluarganya tercemar selain dari Dato’ Seri Anuar dan keluarga,Umat islam berpecah,caci mencaci dan hina menghina berlaku sesama umat islam,Imej kerajaan juga diragui serta perbicaraan tentang kes ini berlaku dimahkamah tetapi berlaku dalam masyarakat.Keputusan mahkamah belum tentu diterima oleh masyarakat. Terdapat 2 keputusan kita akan perolehi dari kes ini. Pertama oleh mahkamah tinggi yang kedua mahkamah rakyat pada PRU 13.Kita tunggu dan lihat kedua-dua mahkamah ini adakah akan mendapat keputusan yang sama?

Barat menerima Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sebagai ‘eset’ yang bernilai. Kualiti dirinya, memang ada ‘UMPH’ ! Nak cakap pun banyak ‘syusyah’ ! Senyum cikit, Datuk Seri ! Tapi, bila DSAI ramai orang suka, ‘jealous’ pulak ‘mangkuk-mangkuk’ dalam Umno-BN. Dituduh pulak macam-macam.
Nampaknya orang Umno-BN tak reti ‘menilai’…pakai ‘sambar’ jer…sampai ada sekor tu…barang terpakai pun dihayunnye…hahaha…Nyosal aku ! Korang boleh pikir ker ? Ade ker…’tin sardin kemek’ sanggup dibeli kemudian jadi bahan pameran kat dalam rumah ? Sah senget !
Sedangkan Barat melihat DSAI sebagai kawan. Umno-BN menolak tuah kerana bermusuh. So, Umno-BN tak leh dijadikan teman. Minta maaf ! You, you punye jalan. Gua, Gua punya JALAN ! Dah kita ajak “jalan lurus” tak nak ikut…biar dia ‘menonong’ masuk utan rimba. Jumpa dek rimau, biar ditelannye idup-idup ! Padan muka !
So, saudara-saudaraku di Perak…INILAH MASANYA MEMBUKTIKAN KEBENARAN.

DSAI kami sentiasa bersama perjuangan DSAI dulu setiap petang sabtu kami turun ke jalan TAR dan tragedi 17 oktober juga tidak kami lupakan.
kini bee end dah tiada peluru, jet dah hilang enjin, bom dah diletupkan.
DSAI dan PR akan berada di Putrajaya dan menguasai parlimen…bravo
