About 12,000 people in Sarawak, including 6,000 supporters of Ngemah state rep Gabriel Adit, have applied to join PKR.
Their application forms were submitted to PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim at a huge dinner gathering in Sibu tonight which saw more than 4,000 people in attendance.
Also signing up with the opposition party is controversial former PRS Balleh division publicity chief, Beginda Minda.
He was forced to leave the state BN component party following his call on the chief minister and his deputy to step down.
Adit, 58, claimed that he had submitted the application forms for PKR membership from 6,000 of his supporters tonight.
The other 6,000 new applications were believed to be from former PRS members and non-party members.
In his speech, Adit, a four-term assemblyperson, told the crowd that the main reason for joining PKR was due to the “political castration” of the Dayaks under the BN state government.
He added that PKR was the best vehicle to address the plight of the Dayaks. Adit also declared that Anwar was the most suitable and acceptable leader to become prime minister.
“Enough is enough of BN. Now change is coming to Sarawak,” he said, adding that there are many BN members waiting to join PKR.
With Adit’s entry, PKR now has two seats in the Sarawak state assembly. The other is Dominique Ng representing Padungan.
Adit first won the Ngemeh seat on the now-defunct Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak ticket in 1991 but in the 2006 state elections, he stood as an independent.
His entry is seen as a major boost for PKR which is gearing up for the next state polls, due in 30 months.

The party is banking on the support from the Dayak communities who are increasingly disgruntled with the state government’s management of native customary rights land issues.
The dinner at the Sibu Trade and Exhibition Centre was organised by ‘Friends of PKR’ with Adit chairing the organising committee. The gathering is believed to be one of the largest political dinners ever held in Sibu.
Present at the gathering were Ng, national PKR leaders Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Tian Chua and Sallehuddin Hashim, state DAP leaders Wong Ho Leng and Chiew Chin Sing.
Earlier, Anwar was given a big welcome at Sibu airport upon his arrival at this central Sarawak town.
He was said to be visibly moved by the huge crowd who turned up to welcome him.
In his speech tonight, he described Adit as a “true people’s representative” and that he would help PKR bring change to Sarawak.
He urged everyone to work together to ensure Pakatan Rakyat take over Sarawak at the next state elections, which is due in two years’ time.
Anwar also said that a number of other elected representatives in Sarawak will follow Adit’s footsteps in joining the opposition front.

Time for people in Sarawak to make the right move. The Iban and Dayak have long been deprived and ignored by BN but the irony is some leaders that represent them in the BN have been too complacent and bought over by the most powerful hand in Sarawak.
GOD willing thing will change soon. My prayer is with the people of Sarawak to continue to have courage and strength and focus for CHANGE, yes we can.

wahai orang muda, kesedaran pengundi Sabah dan Sarawak amatlah kurang terutama di kawasan pedalaman. Lihatlah saja geografi Sarawak yang jauh lebih besar dari mana-mana negeri di Malaysia. Mereka ini sudah terlalu lama dihidangkan dengan fakta-fakta yang dibawa oleh media-media kerajaan jadi jangan salahkan mereka. Di sesetengah tempat cuma mampu mendapat siaran RTM sahaja jadi jika berita melaporkan DSAI atau pakatan rakyat itu tak betul jadi tak betullah fikiran mereka.. dah nama berita takkan salah kan? Bagi minda orang-orang tua di sini… kerajaan itulah Barisan Nasional maka bila waktu mengundi mereka dah terbiasa memangkah lambang dacing..
Oleh itu, salah siapa? Salah orang Sarawak sendirikah? Bagi orang yang berpendidikan dah tentu tahu melayari internet dah memahami situasi negara yang sebenarnya tetapi bagi yang masih tidak tahu apa-apa nak buat macam mana.. sebab itu saya berharap pihak pembangkang terutama ketika di dewan rakyat supaya berharap agar tidak dilencongkan oleh tv1 yang menunjukkan yang buruk-buruk sahaja hal pembangkang…penonton di sini menerima bulat-bulat semuanya kerana memang begitulah selama ini..

It’s very heartening to see now they are waking up and demanding what is rightfully theirs. I urge the enlightened leaders of Dayaks and Ibans spread the message of CHANGE by shifting their mindset so that they can play an effective role in the political landscape of Sarawak. Also their political leadership will be sensitive to the needs of their own communities and will try to uplift their living standards. Do we really know that DSAI would now be the Head of Government (Prime Minister with his appointed Cabinet Ministers not from MPs & Senators) although Party Pakatan Rakyat is not having the MAJORITY seats in the Parliament SHOULD Malaysia now having the element of Two Terms PM, Separation of Power and Direct PM election (Electoral College)that is similiar to USA Political System.
People elected President to be Mr. Obama and his appointed cabinets (EXECUTIVE BODY)is a Democrat, whilst the America House of Congress (similar to Parliament- LAW MAKING BODY)consist of both peoples elected Senators and House of Representatives were Republican by majority. Judges (JUDICIAL BODY) were elected by House Congress and not appointed by the President.
Why….it is so? coz there is an element of Separation of Power between EXECUTIVE, LAW MAKER and JUDICIAL with check and balance.

All those BN Mps who want to jump ship are waiting for your signals after you successfully won the Permatang Pauh by-election to enter parliament. They were disappointed when 16 Sept came and went and you failed to deliver. YOu can make amends for this by getting Jeffrey, Dominic, Saifuddin, Azmin,Tien Chua and others to contact all these people behind the scenes and make possible a situation where all potential defectors get together and sign a statement supporting you as the next PM. Do this before Badawi steps down as PM in Mar 2009. Don’t wait for Najib to become PM because that will mean the return of Mahathir and all his nonsense to once again use the ISA for another Ops Lallang. Strike while the iron is hot. So far you can already count on 3 defectors - Billy Abit Jol (PRS, Chua Soon Bui and Eric Enchin Majimbun (SAPP) to begin working on the rest! Good luck
Everyday, everything connected to BN seems to piss me and a lot of others off. The things that they do or say is like they are the LORDS. What pisses me even more are the d*** (I really don’t know which else word to describe them) who do the jobs for these putras or leaders knowing that it’s not right.God always have a way to deal with all of them, and humans like us can do what ever we can do.I hope that it’s not only 12K people who is joining PR but many, many more to come. Just imagine the richest 10% of the population controls 38.4% of the economic income as compared to the poorest 10%who only control 1.7% according to a 2004 United Nations Human Development report on Malaysia. Our country has the highest income disparity between the rich and poor in S.E.Asia, greater than that of Phillipines,Thailand,Singapore,Vietnam and Indonesia. Now we have a class of ultra rich Malysians and a huge underclass of poor Malaysians. That is Umno/BN for us after 51 years of independence!!!!!!

IPOH : Sudah dijangka, media akan mainkan isu ini. Peluang untuk memberi penjelasan tidak pula diberi. Saya, Setiausaha Akhbar, Ust. Nor Azli Musa dan seorang lagi kebetulan ada di tempat kejadian. Kami bersama MB sedang makan tengahari, seorang yang tidak dikenali menghampiri MB membawa surat meminta MB menandatangani, beliau memperkenalkan diri, MB membaca sepintas lalu dan seakan bersetuju menandatangani, kami serentak mencelah, jangan tandatangan dulu, lihat keseluruhan isi surat tersebut, dalam masa yang sama ada seorang jurufoto yang juga tidak dikenali mengambil gambar. Kami beritahu, boleh jadi ini perangkap, nanti keluar gambar MB menandatangani sesuatu yang mungkin boleh di ambil kesempatan memburuk imej MB. Seorang MB menandatangani sekeping surat yang tidak diketahui latarbelakangnya di kantin. Lantas MB panggil jurufoto, bertanya dari akhbar mana, ada minta kebenaran atau tidak mengambil foto, jurufoto tersebut semacam tidak ambil peduli, MB panggil sekali dengan nada yang kuat sikit, tetapi tidaklah sampai panggil ‘Hoi’ sebagaimana didakwa. MB minta rakaman foto tadi dibuang, untuk memastikan foto tersebut dibuang, MB minta kamera tersebut dan serah pada Setiausaha Akbar yang duduk di sebelah saya, dan meminta SU Akhbar pastikan gambar tersebut dibuang. Dan kamera itu diserah semula pada jurufoto dengan baik. Kami beritahu pembawa surat tersebut supaya dalam urusan seumpama itu, datanglah ke pejabat, kami akan rekodkan surat tersebut, satu salinan kami simpan dalam fail, soal MB nak sain tak nak sain itu soal lain. Pembawa surat tersebut faham, dan ternyata dia menyerahkan surat tersebut kepada Setiausaha Sulit MB di pejabat. Itu baru betul. Pagi esoknya, saya tengok surat tersebut sudah ada dalam meja MB.
Telahan kami tepat, tidak sampaipun beberapa minit kemudian, suara seorang ADUN Pembangkang yang sangat dikenali dari Kubu Gajah, tidak semena-mena membangkitkan isu ini di dewan dengan membuat pencelahan sewaktu seorang ADUN lain sedang membahaskan Bajet 2009, saya belum kenal pasti siapa ADUN yang sedang berucap ketika itu. Kubu Gajah menghentam MB Perak kerana kononnya bertindak kasar kepada wartawan, Kubu Gajah tidak berada di tempat kejadian, ada beberapa orang ADUN BN memang ada di kantin sewaktu berlaku kejadian tersebut. Saya tidak beberapa cam ADUN tersebut, yang ternyata Kubu Gajah tidak ada di kantin, saya sangat mengenalinya kerana ia memang popular dengan sikap kurang ajarnya, perangai di Parlimen dibawanya ke DUN. Saya akan semak dalam kertas minit dewan apa yang diucapkan oleh ADUN Kubu Gajah dan akan siarkan, para pembaca nilai sendiri ucapannya, inilah perangai UMNO BN, mengambil kesempatan apa sahaja yang boleh dijadikan isu untuk burukkan MB dan kerajaan.

After the Land of the Hornbills, the morale-boosting momentum will further heighten in intensity in the Land Below the Wind when Mount Kinabalu’s Summit Peak will be adorned with the white-blue flags of PKR and other Pakatan Rakyat colours! Mereka ini lah yang bertugas sebagai BOARDER SCOUT yang mengawal sempadan KALIMATAN UTARA. Pantang, jika ada individu cuba memburukan Tun Rahman, perkataan yang selalu saya dengan dari mulut mereka KAPAK KU MALAYA. itu lah kesetiaan mereka. Kepada DSAI, saya amat berharap, Jaga lah kaum-kaum ini, jika mereka menerima Dato Seri dengan sambutan begitu meriah, bermakna mereka telah memberi kepercayaan kepada Dato Seri. Jangan ada sebarang kesilapan masa mendatang, kerana saya sendiri amat faham dengan sifat kaum-kaum ini sewaktu saya diserawak 1970-1975. Kena fikir untuk mereka, kalau mereka berminat tinggal dirumah panjang, cuba buka minda mereka kearah perumahan kos rendah/sederhana, begitu juga prasarana untuk mereka beribadat masjid atau gereja, kerana kita sedia maklum kaum-kaum ini kebanyakan beragama islam dan kristian. Jelas sekali, dengan perkembangan yang berlaku ini, sudah kelihatan angin perubahan telah mula bertiup kencang dibumi kenyalang. BERDOA, SEMUGA WAKIL BN DARI KAUM DAYAK, IBAN, BIDAYUH, MELANAU YANG DUDUK DIPARLIMEN LOMPAT KE PAKATAN RAKYAT SEGERA, INSYAALLAH!
Tahniah dan syabas YB Gibriel Adit serta 11,753 pengikut dan ahli baru yang menyertai PKR Sarawak dalam satu majlis terbesar pernah dianjurkan oleh PKR di Sarawak. Dalam 1 malam wakil di DUN Sarawak meningkat 100%. YB Dominique Ng tidak akan keseorangan menghadapi wakil BN. Malam itu juga bekas MP Sri Aman Jimmy Donald (Timbalan Presiden PRS puak Larry Sng) juga menyertai PKR. Figura politik Sarawak lain yang hadir termasuklah bekas timbalan DSAI sewaktu menjadi Menteri Pelajaran iaitu Datu Bujang Hj Ulis dan Dato Micheal Bong. Selepas ini akan ada ramai lagi ahli politik berpengaruh di Sarawak menyertai PKR dan DAP Sarawak. SARAWAK: A CHANGE IN THE MAKING.
entah ya ke tidak ‘berita sensasi’ ini. Atau sekadar mau ‘menghidupkan’ semula pengikut2 PR yang nampak nya hampir hakis kebelangkangan ini. Kalau media nasional ada kekurangan mereka, apa kurang jugak dengan malaysiakini yang pernah memohon maaf dengan berita yang di fabrikasi nya tidak lama dahulu.

tu lah kalo aku kata kau ni bodoh, pasti kau marah.
Kekurangan media nasional ia-lah mereka tidak membawa berita pembangkang dalam meliputi berita2 politik semasa. Itu lah prinsip berita yg seharus mereka ‘adopt’ kerna nama aja sudah nasional, sudah pasti lah media kerajaan. Jadi kenapa harus mereka mohon maaf?
Manakala, malaysiakini menfabrikasi kan berita yg tidak benar. Jadi mereka seharus nya mohon maaf. Kalo tidak,……….. Ngerti tak?

Media nasional memang milik kerajaan tapi jika sudah sampai tahap memutarbelitkan kenyataan serta menokok tambah cerita,itu sudah jadi 1 kesalahan dan perlu memohon maaf,semua kesalahan kerajaan pun tetap nak dipertahankan tapi salah pembangkang di perbesarkan padahal isu kecil kadang2 bosan nak baca cerita2 kecil dipebesarkan.
fungsi media nasional ialah menyampaikan berita dari semua pihak tanpa ada berat sebelah dan memutar belit fakta
kau sendiri juga bodoh cuma belum sedar diri tu…buat lah kajian secara lebih terperinci dari mengeluarkan statement yang bodoh

At certain areas, longhouse folks are deprived of clean water and electricity supply..Air sungai semua dah jadi longkang sebab ladang everywhere.Sigi masalah org rumah panjang pok.. tabiat minum arak yg keterlaluan..tapi tok di suka sida BN… disuruh towkey penyangak hantar beer penuh lory gi rh panjang. dah ye.. terliur..terhuyung hayang la org yg tidak berdosa to..syok dek kena racun.

Its true…Dalam pengalaman aku..di Sarawak BN menggunakan institusi islam untuk mendapatkan nama..rakyat bukan lagi kalau sudah susah dalam segi kewangan…sudah tentu mereka terpaksa menyokong BN…oleh kerana duit yang sepatutnya di DERMA tapi mereka mengambil kesempatan untuk mendapatkan nama…mereka yang bekerja dalam institusi tersebut diberi gaji yang lumayan tetapi pekerja nya hanya dapat sisa sahaja.seperti kerbau cucuk hidung..kerja ini sudah lama dijalankan tetapi tiada siapa yang berani bertindak. Manakala orang yang dibantu adanya di kalangan orang yang berkemampuan..(dr golongan ahli keluarga sendiri)
Seluruh sarawak bergema…KAMI MAHUKAN PERUBAHAN KITA SOKONG PKR/DSAI. Kita laungkan kata semangat ini,kita luahkan segala keluh kesah kita di paparan ini. TETAPI apakah semua ini benar atau laungan kosong dari perasaan ketidakpuasan kita.
Saya telah terjun dalam dunia politik sejak Tingkatan 2 lagi. Tika itu Datu Bujang Ulis masih jadi Timb. Menteri Pelajaran Malaysia. Peristiwa 1987 masih segar dalam kotak memori politik saya. Tika itu Almarhum Tuan Haji Hilary Tawan saja yang menang dari wakil PERMAS. Ketika itu Laungan nak kan perubahan bukan hanya keluar dari mulut 27 orang YB yang keluar BN(termasuk menteri muda Datuk Seri Hajjah Hafsah Harun) sahaja yang bergema di padang merdeka Sarawak tetapi seluruh rakyat Sarawak telah menyatakan persetujuan untuk menurunkan Taib dari jawatan keramat Negeri Sarawak. Beberapa hari kemudian (9 hari dari tarikh YB-YB BN keluar BN), Datu Bujang HAji Ulis yang ketika itu Timb. Menteri Pusat pulak keluar BN (yang kononnya terperangkap dalam peristiwa Ming Court). Dilihat, ditilik,diramal BN bakal Kecundang besar di Sarawak dalam pilihanraya di diadakan oleh Taib secara mengejut itu.
Apa tidaknya, semua kongka-kongka BN seperti Bujang Ulis, Datuk Seri Hajjah Hafsh Harun,Datuk Yusuf Putih,Wan Mahdihi dan 27 orang YB BN telah menyertai PERMAS yang di wujudkan oleh Pak Kancil (Tun Abdul Rahman). Yang kononnya Pak Kancil ni bergaduh habis ngan Taib.
Tapi…. Keputusannya rakyat Sarawak takut membuat perubahan dan seterusnya gagal menunaikan janji mereka untuk memberi kemenangan pada calon-calon PERMAS dan DAP. Mereka yang kononnya nakkan Taib jatuh tapi hanya sebagai pengacau yang menerima sogokkan mengacau sebanyak RM20.00 telah sekali lagi memberi kemenangan pada BN, malah lebih besar dan dalam situasi yang lebih bermaruah pada Taib. Malah 2 tahun setengah selepas itu Bujang Ulis pula kalah di kawasan yang dikatakan kawasan adik beradik dan saudara mara beliau tinggal kalah teruk dalam PRU berikutnya kepada Wahab Suhaili. Kenapa penyokong dan rakyat yang kononnya dah muak nengok muka Taib masih menipu atau takut menyokong kita dan memberi kemenangan pada BN dan Taib.
Inilah para pembaca, Sarawak sejak dari dulu memang gah pada laungan palsu ini. Rakyat menyatakan nakkan pertukaran pemerintah negeri tetapi pada saat malam nak membuang undi tersungkur dengan wang rm20 dari BN. Mereka takut kononnya anak tak dapat sekolah, takut anak di transfer tempat kerja malah takut anak tak dapat kerja (tetapi sekarang makin banyak rakyat simunjan menganggur dan merempat). Apakah semua ini.
Situasi inilah yang kita takut..situasi sokongan palsu inilah kita takut bakal berlaku lagi. Kata sokong tapi melopong kita akhirnya.
Wahai seluruh rakyat Sarawak, bangkitlah. Sedarlah bahawa segala ugutan palsu yang kita terima itu adalah pembohongan pihak BN. Ingatlah…Sarawak bukan bapa dia punya,jawatan dalam kerajaan Sarawak bukan digaji oleh nenek mereka. Jangan kita mahu diperbodohkan oleh mereka ini kerana jika kita mengikut juga kata maka sudah pastilah kita sah bodoh.
Jangan mendengar usikkan kosong BN yang disebarkan pada media massa dan elektronik itu. Mereka ini memang pembohong dan penipu.
Bemula dari sekarang, lupakan rasa takut itu. Ingat kita hamba Allah tak mudah di tipu.
