Tarikh perbicaraan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim akan ditentukan oleh Mahkamah Sesyen jam 9 pagi, hari Jumaat 14hb November 2008.
Hakim S. M. Komathy pada 7 November lalu menolak permohonan pihak pendakwa untuk memindahkan perbicaraan kes itu ke Mahkamah Tinggi. Keputusan itu dibuat setelah mendapati sijil perakuan di bawah Seksyen 18A Kanun Tatacara Jenayah yang ditandatangani Peguam Negara, Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail tidak sah.

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has announced the formation of a parliamentary caucus on the integrity and independence of the judiciary.
Speaking at a press conference in Parliament today, Anwar, who is also Permatang Pauh MP, said that the caucus will be established “notwithstanding the initiatives forwarded by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to set up a judicial commission”.
“We have yet to see the papers (on the judicial commission) and I think it is appropriate for the caucus to elaborate on this issue,” he said, adding that the caucus will hold its first meeting tomorrow.
