the real issue revolves around the court procedure and the investigations

From The Malaysian Insider

By Adib Zalkapli

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 — Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wished Abdul Razak Baginda well, but questioned the manner in which the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case was handled by the police and the prosecution.

“Of course on a personal level, I wish Razak well, but the issue here revolves around the court procedure and the investigations,” he told reporters when met at the Jalan Duta court complex.

The Shah Alam High Court earlier today acquitted Razak, who was charged with abetting in the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya, but ordered Corporal Sirul Azha Umar and Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, both charged with murder, to enter their defence.

“There is a general and growing perception that the investigation was not done professionally, that there is clear motive to cover up. A lot of evidence was not adduced,” said Anwar.

Anwar also questioned the move to change the prosecution team and the presiding judge. The case was originally heard before Justice K.N. Segara before it was transferred to Justice Datuk Mohd Zaki Md Yassin. The prosecution team led by Salehuddin Saidin was replaced with another team led by Tun Abdul Majid Tun Hamzah.

“The prosecution here has failed to conduct the case professionally. That we have seen from the beginning. The changes made and the judge, so this is the initial concern,” said Anwar.

He also commented on the alleged involvement of the Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“In the light of more revelations involving the Deputy Prime Minister and SMSes and evidence we have raised in Parliament, and the public has raised this a number of times, so while I am not physically on the Abdul Razak Baginda case, the case is clearly bigger than what it is,” he added.

Early this month, Malaysia Today carried a report detailing what it alleged was an exchange of text messages between Najib and Datuk Shafee Abdullah, the prominent lawyer who represented Razak, a close associate of Najib.

In one SMS, Najib allegedly tells the lawyer that Razak — his advisor — “will face a tentative charge but all is not lost”.

Najib later said the SMS exchange was private and insisted that there was no abuse of power.

The acquittal of Razak Baginda has proven Najib’s SMS response to Shafee Abdullah that “all is not lost” to be correct, correct, correct! Now with the continued disappearance of P I Balasubramaniam (has he also been blown up by C4?)especially when he implicated Najib in his first SD, Najib has got a lot to answer. It now appears that this case will be closed to hide all the remaining skeletons with only “light” sentences meted to the other 2 accused, the police inspector and corporal. The big loser in this sordid scandal is Altantuya’s father Setev Shaaribu, and we hope that he will come up with fresh evidence to ensure that the “real culprits” do not escape justice. Setev Shaaribu cannot expect to get justice from the Malaysian courts, going by the verdict to acquit Baginda today. He has now to make use of his Mongolian govt to approach the UN and other external bodies to get to the bottom of this whole cover up.

It was set from the beginning – Razak will be released without having to defend himself, while the two poor policemen were the scapegoats. Even before becoming PM, the DPM has already ‘flexed’ given a loud hint of what he is capable of.

Bolehland using JUNGLE Law now. Even before this disgraceful court case starts, I already had the gut feeling that this case will definitely end up as it is now. In fact, I’ve told friends, who are also following this case, my prediction on the outcome of this Mongolian case. A lot of hidden hands (actually most of us could easily guess these hands belong to who) playing behind the scene. This is a shameful case that reveals to the whole world that our country’s judiciary is a real mockery. Foreign investors will be running helter-skelter to other neighbouring countries because they are worried that they will not receive a fair judicial recourse in times of any future discords with some “ULTRA BIG SHOTS” here. BTW, the 2 MASK MEN who were ushered in and out of the courtroom (every time I saw them being pushed around, like a bloody cartoon, during the TV news broadcast), who the hell are they? Supposed to be the 2 police scapegoats, but they could be any Tom, Dick and Harry, under the mask. Ha! Ha! The same old modus operandi ‘they’ deployed 10 yrs. ago, moving the famous MATTRESS in and out of the courtroom, intentionally, to disgrace DSAI. This time around, ‘they’ are toying around with this 2 masterpiece cartoons. Ha! Ha! Stinks.

Since Razak Baginda, the fall guy, with no further obstacles or hindrances in sight for Nargis in his ascending to the Top Power, has been released, and the real murderers whose identities are obvious are still at large with RPK detained under ISA and PI Balasundram exiled overseas there is no other major obstacles and hindrances to Nargis’ ascendancy to the pinnacle of his power come March 2009. This is only obvious that UMNO has now the final say in justice with their man Zaki as the Chief Justice. This is the obvious Justice of Malaysia, the laughing stock of the whole world, Malaysia should be boycotted by the world communities for their greatest injustices towards human rights and common normal justices.

Altantuya committed suicide upon being jilted. The suicide was abetted by Corporal Sirul Azha Umar and Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri. Very plausible. Najib and Rosmah not involved. The issue is where is the commission money ?!!

hARAPAN KU CUMA SATU. SEMUGA KEBENARAN TERSERLAH. TIDAK BERTUJUAN MENUDUH SESIAPA. CUMA SATU PERSOALAN SEMUGA TERSERLAH JAWAPAN DI AKHIR PERBICARAAN. APAKAH KEPENTINGANNYA SEHINGGA DUA ORANG POLIS TSB SANGGUP MEMBUNUH ALTANTUNYA SEBEGITU TRAJIS DAN KEJAM SEKALI. APAKAH TIADA SESIAPA YANG MENGARAH ATAU MENGUPAHNYA DENGAN SATU UPAHAN YANG AMAT LUMAYAN????
