I am digressing from the issue of Dalbinder Singh since he has no “buah langsat duku or longkong” to take up my challenge..no point in wasting my precious time. Factually, after considering from all angles, this chappie is only worth not even a glass of cold sugar cane water…Kam Chia chooi, Heh! That’s wehat we call them in my childhood days about people like him…a “prince” from the 1001 Arabian Nights…also we nicknamed our lecturer that” The handsome Prince from 1001 Arabian Nights but he is a dedicated man this lecturer of ours!
Well to digress from that, I just wonder if we can swallow another lie from our leader who has opbviously lied so many times to us, the rakyat. first about his marriage, then comes the issue of parliament dissolution, then followed by the petrol price hike and so on. How many more lies do we have to swallow? Just like some other world leaders they walk in apprehension of their very own shadows! Can we a leader who is untrue to his subjects? How many more lies…as the American Indians would always say this jaded jargon “White man speaks with a forked tongue!”
Please do not hide that fear behind that sheepish smile as the Chinese would says in Hokkien ” Chio Bin Hor”. Are we afraid to be losers for just once? If we always win, then the word lose, lost (past participle also!) then that word should be eradicated from all dictionaries including the latest “encyclopedia” Wikipedia. From losing any event or position we can only know where our weaknesses thrive and only then can we improve ourselves! As the law of gravity goes(Newton’s Law?) “What goes up must come down” Why the special “study camp” abroad at a time of revered Ramadan when this revered month in the Muslim calendar is a time for repentance and not enjoyment? Or is it because of truly diverting the 619 upcoming event. If a true gentleman, then it’s best to setlle the much talked about issue once an for all! If we lie, (what my beloved and mush respected grand dad said) ther would be no end and only endangers our well-being. Put a full stop daringly and things would change for the better. As a former teacher (resigned-lah!!! after more than two decades ), I was asked this question during an interview at St George’s Girl School by an expatriate interviewer..”Oh so, you aspire to be a teacher, right young man? One question only to you. What would your action be if you were teaching Phy. Edu. to your 40 odd student class and the day is hot and humid in the school field with some trees in the vicinity?” My answer was after a momentarily pause (I was only 16 then!) ” Sir,you said there are trees on the school field right? Then my honest answer was ” Sir, I would take the children under the spreading raintree and do PE whie I stand in the open space.” The expatriate smiled at me and said,”Young man, Bugger off beforeI pop you another question! Congratulations!” What does this mean. You be the judge! What about our chosen one to lead us?Any such sacrifices? Again, you respected readers, be the judge-lah! All the best!!!!!for a better future!
