He hardly seems the perfect candidate for a Muslim-majority democracy. Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim spent six years in jail, charged with corruption and sodomy. Earlier this year, he was again slapped with a sex charge when a male former aide accused the 61-year-old politician of rape. But on Aug. 26 Malaysia’s most charismatic politician completed a stunning political comeback by winning a parliamentary seat in a by-election in his home state of Penang. “It’s a signal that the people are ready for change, and that they believe only Anwar can make that change,” says Bridget Welsh, a Southeast Asia expert at Johns Hopkins University.

Anwar’s ambitions are about much more than just his own political future. Though a small tropical nation, Malaysia has served as a role model in a region often gripped by authoritarianism and riven by factional strife. It has a proud tradition of electoral politics, relatively smooth transfers of power and an ability to achieve social harmony despite its racial and religious diversity.
Yet in recent years Malaysia has stagnated. Its political structure has calcified, corruption concerns have multiplied and the population is cleaving along ethnic lines. Small wonder that in March Malaysians handed Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi’s National Front its worst-ever electoral result.

And Anwar’s political alliance is an unwieldy amalgamation of Chinese patriots, conservative Muslims and reform-minded technocrats. But if Anwar can keep such a disparate miscellany of parties unified, then he might just be the man to rule a new Malaysia.

UMNO is still playing the racial card but, after witnessing the recent by-election in PP, it gives me hope, a hope that different races can unite and overcome this ‘evil obstacle’ that divides the nation.
Anwar, undoubtedly, has the talent and intelligence to unite the people to build a better Malaysia. Let the PKR administration embraces the rakyat and work along the with the rakyat, not like the oppressive UMNO led govt.
We have now entrusted our faith in you, we want a change and we pray you are a man to deliver to us….a harmonious and a civilized country, we can all proudly call, Our Home.

Adoyaiii.. Hangpa ni tak paham betoi la apa yang TIME tu kata. Dia kata, MULANYA Anwar ni tidak nampak seperti seorang calon yanng baik utk menjadi pemimpin negara demokrasi bermajoriti Muslim dengan kes-kes yang telah dihadapinya sebelum ini. Tetapi tarikh 26 OGOS lepas telah membuktikan sebaliknya dengan membuat COMEBACK.
Yang aku nampak TIME ni menyebelahi ANWAR dan si ahmadhelmibahari ni pon menyebelahi anwar cuma dia tak paham ayat perenggan tu. Kita ni sama ja, semua sokong Anwar. Tapi tinggal komen kena paham artikel dulu la.
Perubahan Malaysia perlu dilakukan sekarang. Malaysia sedang menuju ke arah kehancuran dari segi Sistem Demokrasi dan Hak-Hak Rakyat diinjak dengan begitu jijik.
Aku memilih kemudaratan yang paling kurang dari kemudaratan2 yang lebih besar dr pemimpin-pemimpin UMNO ( kata membela Melayu tetapi nama UMNO ni INGGERIS. Pelik kan? Ye lah, dah BRITISH yang wujudkan UMNO, bukan org MELAYU ).

5. Aku menangis memirkirkan ada rakyat Malaysia yang masih hidup Kias Pagi, Makan Pagi; Kias Petang Makan Petang walaupun Malaysia sudah 50 tahun merdeka.
(I cry thinking there are still Malaysians who still live from Hand to Mouth everyday, even though Malaysia has already achieved 50 years of Independence.)

I too feel the same way as you do. We can’t eat or drink wthout thinking of our fellow Malaysians leading very miserable and impoverished lives. I feel hopeless when I hear our leaders manipulating innocent people to their advantage and using them as scapegoats to gain political mileage. My heart is heavy with grieve when I think of those brave enough to stand against injustice being imprisoned by the powers that be. I have a feeling of hopelessness when I hear that those who bravely came out with the SDs suddenly disappeared with their families, heaven knows where they are now. I cry for the wandering soul of Altantuya as I imagine the terror she underwent the last few minutes before her fragile frame was blown to smithers. Last but not least I worry for DSAI, RPK and their FAMILIES while they face the challenges of today!!!!

One way you can persuade the Sabahans and Sarawakian MPs is to make them Cabinet Ministers, like:
1] Minister of Sabah/Sarawak Economic & Infrastructure Development, one each.
To tkae care of Physical Infracture like roads, rail, water, electricity etc.
Have also a Deputy Minister posts one each.
2] Minister of Sabah/Sarawak Education & Social Development, one each.
To take care of their specific education, ethnic minority, welfare, Justice, Police etc.
Have also a Deputy Minister posts. one each.
3] The Exceptional, let them become Ministers at Federal Levels.
Deputy Ministers.
4] We need to develop the physical infrastructure using the Oil & Timber money, build roads and rail and water transport quickly.
5] Sabah & Sarawak already have Universities and need to fill with their own people who are exceptional and gifted academically and administratively, regardless of race or ethnic. The candiates must come from top universities of the world and proven scholarship, meantime can employ foreign academics who care and sympathize with developing countries.
{they are many non-establishment academic scholars who love to help developing countries].
6] DO NOT REPEAT the same mistakes what UMNO did with Peninsula Malaya …. we are paying a HEAVY PRICE for Infrastructure Development .. most of the INFLATED MARGINs are siphoned by the Board of Directors and Contractors of the Projects.
They have only enriched Aristocratic Feudal Malays .. never do the same for Sabah & Sarawak.
eg. use the California Trans which uses taxes to develop roads and highways in California.
No need for tolls, increase mobility and distributions of goods and services.
7] Sabah & Sarawak will have their Separate Police Councils composing of Eminent Civilians Sabahans and Sarawakians to Oversee the Police. Implement the IPCMC quickly.
Whatever you are thinking DO NOT and NEVER Repeat the MISTAKES of UMNO and whatever it is that you may have done during your TENURE as Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.
Never Never Never ….

Ia cadangan yang baik. Sebab kemajuan perlu dititik-beratkan di sana dengan hasil minyak mereka (lagi pun dah dijanjikan 20% royalti – gunakan saja).
Mahathir dah kata, Anwar takkan berjaya sebab MP di sana akan melihat siapa yang berani beri tawaran tertinggi. BN is more richer than Anwar, katanya.
Kita tak nafikan pulangan kebendaan tetap menjadi perhitungan sesiapa jua. Jadi, jangan terlalu didogmakan perjuangan untuk rakyat. Tak jalan.
Bukan semua MP tu cerdik pun!
Sama macam Yaakop Sapari, EXCO Selangor. Dulu takde apa-apa, sekarang dia kata dengan elauns wakil rakyat serta elauns EXCO, dia sudah boleh hidup bergaya. Lastnya, bila rakyat minta bantuan, surat pun dia tak sudi nak tengok.
Ada pelajar cemerlang nak ke IPTA, minta bantuan dari peruntukan wakil rakyat RM1,000 saja, pun dia tak boleh beri.
Pelajar ke IPTA, intake Julai, tapi mereka pergi awal (29 Jun) untuk daftar sudah tidak layak untuk dapat sumbangan kerajaan negeri. Apa punya polisi bodoh ni?
Sekarang ni, dia dok himpit nak jadi MB. Kenapa?
Sekiranya Anwar berjaya bentuk kerajaan pusat, TS Khalid akan dibawa jadi Menteri Kewangan. Maka si Yaakob ni berharap dia yang akan jadi MB. Itu sebab di mana saja TS Khalid (di mana ada liputan media), dia akan menempel.
Pihak PKR perlu ambil perhatian. Sekiranya itu terjadi, PR Selangor akan mampus jika orang macam ni jadi tonggaknya; harapkan sengihnya saja, kerja bo liauu!

Yes, Anwar could have kept his mouth shut and become the PM, if he didn’t step on Mahatirs toes…
But he didn’t. He chose to speak out against the Wrong Doings of Barisan Nasional.
He chose to do what is right…
He was thrown in jail and beaten by his own people…
They spat on him, and gave him a black eye because of Mahatirs cronies and corrupt ways…
..and now.. there is no doubt, the western world is extremely impressed with his insight and forward thinking ideologies… but more so of his strength in pushing for change for ALL Malaysians…

Many congratulations on your election success. Your election victory carries the hope of the people, not only of PP, but the whole nation. It is their hope, for the moment, that you will be an effective opposition leader who will also unite the myriads of idealogies of three different political parties and diverse political characters. If you succeed in uniting them, then I dont see any reason why you cannot form the next government and lead our New Malaysia!. The challenge for you is not about bringing down a weak and ineffective government through a legal parliamentary process, as this appears to be gaining momentum. But rather for you to dismantle a web of strong political network interwined with different components of government machineries that have been abused and misused over the years. Those clinging on to whatever little power left, are going to make it extremely difficult for you. They are shielding behind a trail of injustices, corrupt practices and heideous criminal acts that they think cannot be exposed. So the stakes are extremely high. Despite the strong voices of the people that you have with you, those currently in power have no interests for the nation except for themselves.
So, all the best in your struggle.

What I see in YB Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim
1. He is technically and tactically proficient in his political strategies.
2. He knows what the rakyat wants and he looks after their welfare.
3. He knows himself where he stand and he seek self improvement.
4. He set good exmple to the rakyat.
5. He ensure that what ever his mission is well understood and acomplished. So, beware one day after the ides of September.
6. He train the Pakatan Rakyaat as a team. Good example shown on DNA issues.
7. He makes timely decision for his journey to Putra Jaya.
8. HE IS A TRUE LEADER OF ALL RACES.

The person we should thank for the latest budget is not the PM but our dear DSAI because if without his (DSAI) constant pressuring and criticising of the BN govt to share the country’s wealth, our sleepy PM would be still be sleeping on his laurels ( still quietly robbing more of rakyat’s wealth for his family especiaaly his son-in-law)and would not have come out with such a budget even though it do not benefit all rakyat but was aimed mostly for govt servants and lower income group (maybe hoping to get back their votes in the next GE).
In fact the “transport” benefit is in more ways benefitting one of his family’s many companies(rather than the rakyat) of which profit will be improved in leaps and bounds after more money is spent on it whereby more rakyat will surely use them since fuel price will still be reduced in such minimal amounts in time to come, I am sure.
I hope DSAI will talk something about this when the budget bill is tabled in parliament.
Datuk, keep up the good work in fighting for the benefits of the rakyat regardless of race or religions, we truly adore you! And GOD will bless you and your family for that!
Take your time to plan quietly to form the new govt, if GOD willing, hopefully before the December Umno meeting.

The cancellation of the Johore Scenic Bridge, Penang Second Bridge and LRT Projects at the whims and fancies of the Flip Flop, Incompetent and Sleeping PeeM at the last minutes is wasting Multi Millions Ringgits in Public Funds had shown proof of the PeeM’s mismanagement of the Government and wastage of the Public Financial Resources and all these wasted funds could not be salvaged to aid and assist the Malaysian Poor Citizens of all races. If Malaysia still keep him in power will further damage and erode the Wealth of our Nation and our National Wealth coulsd be decimated in no time.
The same could happen to all the empty promises of aid and help to the Rakyats these could all be lip service only unless it is monitored by reputable NGOs. On the irreversible Food Prices inflation, the unnecessary Moronic previous price hike on Petrol & Diesel had caused great permanent damage to the Food Price Structure and even if the price cut to Petrol and Diesel revert to their original prices prior to their hike, it will not revert the Food prices back to their original state and only the PeeM is to be solely blamed for his unwarranted Fuel Price Hike. His 2009 budget did not help the Rakyats’ quelled their immediate hardship suffered nor did that help them solve their Transport Problems immediately with multiple schemes but none available immediately with all the empty rhoterics but nothing concrete that could solve their immediate problems after years of neglect from this incompetent sleeping PeeM. Come Sept 16, 2008 send him home to sleep forever he is no longer needed.

Whether or not Bridget Welsh’s words were taken in proper context here, I do not know.. but as far as many people in my generation are concerned, we’ve been ready for change EVEN since Dictator Mahathir’s era..
The difference between Dictator Mahathir’s era and the “recent years” only came about because PM Abdullah has NOT been as authoritarian as Dictator Mahathir when it comes to stifling dissent or taking care of his image/reputation (the people’s perception of PM Abdullah is terrible, thanks to the not-so-competent spin doctors who fail to understand grassroot politics). I also think that PM Abdullah’s “gang” (administration) has committed too many blunders and that’s why Dictator Mahathir is taking advantage by blaming everything on PM Abdullah (including the problems he himself had caused after being the country’s PM for 22 years). On the other hand, DSAI is seen by the people as a better candidate to lead the country when compared to PM Abdullah or DPM Najib.. but it’s not necessarily a complete endorsement on his style or his cronies..
Whatever it is, I pray the best for Malaysia.. and that means, no more dictators like Mahathir or out-of-touch snobs like Khairy, please..

Ahmad had allegedly called the Chinese pendatang (immigrants) and was also reported to have said that “as the Chinese were only immigrants it was impossible to achieve equal rights amongst races” during a ceramah in Permatang Pauh in Aug 25.
He had allegedly uttered the remarks in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

AAB just gives the nod to whatever his UMNO goons want. That’s all. He is not bothered if M’sia is going to the dogs. As long as UMNO stands by him he is happy!! Though TDM was for UMNO I doubt he would have allowed nonsense of this sort because as PM he was more shrewd and calculating as to his image and that of his party’s. Now we can see that AAB is not a man with sight or vision. If that was the case his UMNO goons would not have been so daring to make uncalled for statements in public. I am not for TDM or his policies because he is also the man responsible for the concept of ketuanan UMNO, which has ultimately brought about the downfall of the BN govt. DSAI has the right vision and he is aware that ketuanan UMNO would ultimately destroy M’sia. That is the reason he is standing up for a M’sia without borders, where race, religion, ethnicity, colour, language, culture, traditions etc…should matter little in the well being, prosperity, harmony, progress etc…of the beautiful nation called MALAYSIA.

BN’s symbol of the scale portrays no meaning at all if after 51 years of independence there are still BN/Umno wakil rakyat sprouting out sensitive racial remarks and worst of all Bodowi supported that guy by saying that he didnt mean itsdince it was uttered during campaignes when people tend to lose their heads…ok, what about that guy who uttered “Cina balik Cina” in parliament, did he not mean it too?
BN as a whole has not even got over the aftermath and finding solutions to 308, yet there is another one, i.e. 268 to think about??? Cant BN realised that it is getting from bad to worse,later to worst? 268 can teach BN that wise malays wont buy the “ketuanan islam/melayu” issues anymore,otherwise DSAI would not have won by such a large majority and worst of all a good part of Umno members in PP also voted for him!
Inspite of all the trouble of getting firstly,the PAS/UMNO dialogue, then the stupid brainless Saifool guy’s allegations aganst DSAI followed by the impatient swearing and of cos, the blow- out of proportion of the Uitm issue of wch saw a nation-wide Uitm students’ protests (btw, all Uitm students are holding scholarships and it was leaked out that they were threatened that their scholarships will be withdrawn if they didnt participate in the protests)..
All these “stoop so low” actions by BN/Umno didnt even help BN win in 268! What a shame and waste of propaganda and time and top of it all, huge amounts of rakyat’s money wasted just like that..(not to mention the millions Saifool got).
PM should realise that he is no more the so-called MR Clean of 2004 but MR Dirty and Greedy Old Man., who refused to step down unless something like what is happening in Thailand now happens here.

5) Tak sedihkah YB-YB bila berselisih dijalanraya melihat satu keluarga mempunyai anak dua atau tiga orang, yang masih kecil.. hanya mampu menaiki motosikal meredah hujan lebat, dalam kesejukkan lagi lantaran tidak mampu memiliki kereta hatta sebuah kancil second-hand. Most, if not all of them have placed their hopes on him to bring about a better life simply because we have no other options left for us to choose.
If Anwar go back on his promises, then his betrayal of our trust is a million times more than the betrayal of people’s trust by Badawi and his administration. Why? It’s because the trust we had in Badawi was not as innate and deep-seated, and whatever little trust that we had in him has long gone. Also, this man, Badawi did not speak of the peoples’ inspiration as Anwar did. Not even once. In fact, his greatest crime to all Malaysians was he never did anything remotely significant to the people and its country in all his years in office.

Assalamualaikum..Dengar dahulu, kita ada otak kaji, ada telinga dengar, ada mulut bersuara yg benar sahaja. Dalam mahkamah, kita dengar hujah dari pihak pendakwa dan pembela dan kita kaji kebenarannya. Check website yg dinyatakan bawah ini jika kita ini suka melihat kebenaran dan tak taksub kpd satu fahaman sahaja. Lihat bagaimana agensi US macam NED(National endowment council), NDI (National Democratic Institute) memberi dana kewangan kepada DSAI dalam karier beliau? Beliau bukannya CEO atau ahli perniagaan. Dimana dapat bantuan kewangan utk berkempen di Permatang Pauh? Malah lebih menakutkan saudara Anwar ini sanggup menerima bantuan dari petualang Yahudi untuk menjadi PM Malaysia..dan pemimpin sebenar yg kita tunggu…….. ialah Imam Mahadi untuk menyatu-padukan umat Islam di mana semua Umat Islam hartanya melimpah ruah secara adil( tak seperti sekarang di bawah kerajaan Jahiliyah UMNO yg kaya bertambah kaya dan yg miskin bertambah miskin)…Jangan kita jadi taksub, taksub itu membawa bencana..aku bukan pro BN bukan Pro Pakatan Rakyat…aku adalah pihak yg tak percaya dgn UMNO dan juga tak percaya DSAI sebagai bakal pemimpin boneka US…

Orang atas pagar paling busuk lebih busuk dari UMNO, setelah runtuhnya Tembok berlin kemana orang atas pagar? setelah runtuhnya blok barat dan tamatnya perang dingin dimana orang atas pagar macam U? bukan kah orang atas pagar ini pasti masuk salah satu blok. bergitu juga di malaysia orang atas pagar macam u adalah dua alam. kalau U anti Jewish kenapa u tak pertikaikan UMNO ikut Agama Jewish tabit hormat sama Tugu negara batu yang tak bernyawa itu yang di kalongkan bunga, i sama yang Jewish lakukan di baitulmuqudis orang Jewish sembah batu dan hentakkan kepala pada batu kan serupa antara UMNO dan yahudi tiada bezanya.jelas lagi nyata. Tuduhan U pada Anwar masih samar mana buktinya sekada rujukan siapa pun boleh buat, tetapi UMNO lakukan keluar akhbar dan TV disaksikan oleh rakyat jelata? UMNO peganut agama Yahudi mubalignya yang tang berbintang bintang. sedih cukup sedih perkara ini diteruskan oleh orang melayu kesinabungan dari kerajaan Gangan Sri Negara,Lenbah bujang hingga Orang Perak di Lengong orang melayu sembah batu di teruskan oleh UMNO.Jelas UMNO bukan sahaja boneka yahudi bahkan penganut agama yahudi.Anwar tidak seteruk sehingga meganut agama yahudi.UMNO sering berkaya Malaysia Agama Islam Agama rasmi rupanya UMNO beragama lain.ini rasminya budaya yahudi.
Persoalannya sekarang sudahkan U pertikaikan dari mana UMNO BN dapat wang untuk berkempen? memang jelas PR mohon derma setiap kali berceramah untuk dapatkan wang untuk kempen . tetapi bila UMNO berceramah tak pernah pun UMNO minta derma dari rakyat? sebab jelas mereka dah gunakan wang rakyat jadi tak perlu minta derma nanti dua kali pula guna wang rakyat. toukeh judi pun hantar wang so UMNO belanja sakanlah.

Awak tu yang tak kaji sebelum berkata2. Segala maklumat yg terkandung dalam komen awak tu boleh disangkal satu-persatu, tapi yang paling lawak ialah awak kata Henry Ford tu yahudi???
Awak tau tak bahawa Henry Ford adalah antara PEMBENCI YAHUDI yang paling terkenal? Awak dah baca ke buku yang Henry Ford tulis tentang yahudi? dan sejarah Henry Ford memusuhi yahudi?
Anyway, saya suka orang yang tak taksub kpd sesiapa. Harap awak juga tidak taksub kepada Diktator Mahathir, biasanya orang yang menuduh Anwar ni agen yahudi adalah di kalangan mereka yg taksub kpd Diktator Mahathir.

Assalamualaikum…Jangan melenting..rilek2…Lagi satu, jgn taksub..setiap penyokong PR selalu melenting bile aku kutuk..bile aku kutuk penyokong BN pasal rasuah..diorang pun tanye ape buktinya…Nak tau sebab apa sy dakwa Anwar ada kaitan dgn US dan Yahudi? Meh dengar sini cerita aku..bende ni kena kat batang idung family aku sendirik..bapak aku dulu aktif gak dalam politik UMNO tahun 1990 an dulu..bapak aku lebih pro kepada Anwar Ibrahim, dan tak menyokong Mahathir..waktu ekonomi meleset dan kes Anwar dulu, bapak aku memang cemuh and anti giler dgn Mahathir…sehinggalah bapak aku kenal dengan salah seorang kroni rapat Anwar Ibrahim di Kamunting..dia cakap dia rapat dgn Anwar..mungkin dia tau bapak aku pro Anwar sbb tula dia berani ajak bapak aku keje dgn company dia jadi General Manager…si “Kroni Anwar” ni ckp bantuan modal company ni dpt dari Anwar..kontrak company juta2 plak tu..dia cakap Anwar boleh bg bantuan kewangan sebab Anwar Ibrahim adalah Menteri Kewangan masa tu malah dia kawan rapat Anwar..bapak aku waktu tu percaye je dgn kroni Anwar ni, dah taksub dgn sangat dgn Anwar jd mcm nilah…mmg company ni besar, base kat Taiping, Perak..mula2 bapak aku keje dlm 2 bulan..dapat gaji waktu tu..lepas tu gaji tak dibayar..ada masalah kewangan waktu tu..bapak aku angin la…bila bapak aku angin je, si kroni ni tenang je cakap, “Tunggu Anwar naik jadi PM gulingkan Mahathir, dapatlah dana juta2 tu”..bapak aku yakin sgt Anwar naik PM…sanggup dia tunggu kt company tu 9 bulan tanpa gaji sebab kes taksub sangat dgn Anwar…berbulan2 tunggu duit “dana” tu..bapak aku terpikir “dana” ape ni..bapak aku berulang kali tanya si kroni ni sampai sikit2 rahsia dia bapak aku korek..ada time last skali bapak aku tanye, tembelang kroni ni dah kantoi dah..bapak aku tanye mana dpt “dana” ni..si kroni ni terlepas cakap “dana” ni dah kene bekukan Bank Negara …kebetulan dlm newspaper dah kuar “Dana” dah dibekukan Bank Negara and waktu tu Anwar dah pun kena tangkap polis..Bank Negara dah selidik dana ni datang dari US…bapak aku pakse si kroni bgtau dari mana sumber dana ni datang..kroni ni takut terus cakap “datang dari luar negara” dan cakap yg keluar dlm news waktu tu adalah termasuk dana untuk company tuh! Bapak aku mengucap dan tark nafas panjang2 trus berenti keje dari sykt tu…sampai skarang bapak aku x caye lagi dgn Anwar..Takkan lah korang tak tau, waktu Anwar kene tangkap dulu, George Bush dgn Al Gore kutuk Malaysia sebab kes Anwar ni..Memang dah sedia maklum, Paul Wolfowitz adalah kawan karib Anwar semasa di Bank Dunia dulu..Paul Wolfowitz ni Presiden Bank dunia ketika tu dan Anwar adalah penasihat Bank Dunia..Takkan la korang yg taksub Anwar ni tak selidik cerita ni dulu..minat Anwar tapi x tahu ape2 pun pasal Anwar..Anwar sendirik pernah cakap dia kawan karib Paul Wolfowitz.. \Cube download kat youtube pasal “Siapa Anwar” dari siri 1 sampai 7…korang taula..video ni makin kuatkan kepercayaan aku Anwar ni talibarut US plus cerita tembelang kroni kat atas ni ha!
