I know I am uncharacteristically efficient posting things out on this list, but given these murky times in contemporary Malaysia, I will plead this indulgence, “among friends…”
Anwar was released on bail today.
The original report against him which claimed sexual assault appears to have been ammended, and he was charged with consensual anal intercourse instead (yes, that is the lexicon of the day in oh-so-sanctimonious Malaysia of Islam Hadhari). His alleged ‘willing’ partner, however, as of now, appears to be free of such a charge.
Obviously the stain of 1998 did not only shatter any shred of integrity institutions in this country may once have possessed, it also left the indelible legacy of smut upon our everyday collective consciousness.
This most recent episode hardly suffices as a “conspiracy”, it is little more than a attempt at a crude farce. The following is also a timely response to the Cassius Liberals in our midst (I was getting so weary of using the terms fake and soft liberals, so thanks Jo for the ingenious alternative). As a Hard Liberal I have taken great exception and offense to this species and their hiding up the darkest side of their bum’s while adopting the “liberal” stance and urging Anwar to submit to the “due process of the law”.

I don’t know about you all but I agree with what DSAI said. If the alleged sodomy was comitted with the consent of both, why only one get charged and the other scott free? Its not like Shitfull is an underaged juvenile and therefore even if he is a willing partner he cannot be charged, right? From his photos, I can clearly see that he is full grown able bodied 23 yr old young man. Hemmmm …(ponder, ponder, ponder) Unless of course … he’s an imbecile and retarded. Ahh.. yes. This must be it!

Good evening Dato Seri.
May I suggest, as was done when HE RPK was in Sg Buloh prison, to start a RM 1 support fund. Not many of us can always show up in the street to show strength of support…with family, work, etc. You understand. So, RM 1 is not that difficult. The RM 1 can from as far as Sabah & even from the other side of the planet.
Surely there are many Malaysians abroad who are equally appalled with what is happening to our great (was) & lovely (was) country – constantly destroyed by BN over 30 years (well, not the party but by the leaders). I say 30 years coz I don’t think there was a problem under our late & most honoured TAR.
Anyhow, a little of topic there, what say you about this RM 1 support fund? The fund can be used for your bail, legal fees (unless you are lucky enough to get foc legal service :)), etc etc.
I also urge all those in the legal profession to lend support to fight this injustice & pressure the judge to hold the true & balance rule of law of our country. If there is no case, why do the judge allow it to continue? Under whose instruction? Is the judge for Malaysia or for BN-UMNO?

It is a RULE OF LAW in MALAYSIA,that they can change as and when they like. Shitful report is not consensual and why it changed to consensual? It was such crude manipulation, conniving and blatant disregard for the Rule of Law any which way we look and weight in decency, rationality and fairness which is totally lost in the wilderness of people like AAB, NTR, SHA, AG and IGP but it is sadder and a tragic that the whole kitchen cabinet of the ruling coalition are guilty in cahoot with the top brass for being compliant to the injustice that unfolding in this episode of porous sodomy allegations now turned into a comedic-melodrama low blow to human decency. A sad day indeed for all upright and law abiding citizens of Malaysia. I wish and pray for your wellbeing and Godspeed DSAI, you shall overcome the obstacles of inhuman tendencies. Insyaallah.

This case makes no sense. Can someone explain to me like I am a 3 year old?
We have a charge of a consensual anal intercourse. In other words, someone who had ever willingly gave his behind to another person and then later lodged a police report saying he had given his backside to someone in which is against the law.
Does this person wants to be the most famous homosexual in town? Can we call him a “Pondan†or a “Bapuk†? Muka pun tada ohh!
I think we need a psychologist here to define the abnormality of this pattern of behavior?

Nampaknya drama politik ini semakin menarik dan semakin merobekkan peluang UMNO/BN untuk mendapat pencalonan bagi anugerah drama/filem terbaik tahun ini justeru satu demi satu kecacatan yang disembunyikan mereka terus terlondeh menjadi bahan tontonan umum. Bukti terbaru ialah Laporan Perubatan dan Akuan Berkanun yang dibuat oleh Dr. Mohd Osman pada 1hb. Ogos baru2 ini.
Walaupun mereka rela berhabis jutaan ringgit sebagai modal untuk menghasilkan filem “Fitnah” ini dan ditambah pula dengan kekurangan rehat dan tidur kebanyakan orang2 kuat di sebalik tabir pembikinan filem ini, namun hasilnya amatlah mengecewakan dan merugikan sekali. Nampaknya nak balik modal pun susah.
Jadi, sayugia diingatkan kepada mereka agar cubalah bertukar kepada bidang yang lebih sesuai dengan kepakaran mereka dan tinggalkanlah industri filem fitnah politik ini buat selama2nya kerana hakikatnya rakyat negara ini pun sudah lama muak dengan genre2 filem sebegitu.

Typical of this government to pervert and abuse authority and power given to them in trust by the people of ths country. How long can this continue? It is perhaps long overdue that the people should taek back these authorities and power, and invest it in another perhaps, more trustworthy and worthy peoples’ representative.
In this, the current climate of a loss of confidence, it is incumbent of the present government to resign or, at the very least, do not obstruct the will of he people in choosing their next government. Perhaps there will be enough good men and women in UMNO who would stand up to be counted to defend the democratic principles on which our system is based.
As citizens, we seek not the demise of UMNO/BN. On the contrary, we would like to see a reformed UMNO/BN in a two-party system. No one elected party can expect to be power for too long. Change is a normal state of affairs. Its only how it is managed. We have the system but will the participants, in this case, UMNO/BN co-operate? A hetorical question, for hey must, if they have the interest of the country at heart.
