The arrest of Anwar Ibrahim, former Prime Minister and respected opposition leader, in Kuala Lumpur on 16 July 2008 on charges that are obviously politically motivated is a cause of grave concern to all of Malaysia’s friends in the international community.
These charges come only three months after the Keadilan party made the strongest electoral showing by an opposition party in Malaysian history and less than a day after Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement of his intention to stand for election to Parliament.
In a replay of almost a decade ago in which Anwar Ibrahim’s imprisonment for six years on transparently political grounds discredited the Malaysian government, police and judiciary in the eyes of the world community, yet another smear campaign of similar allegations threaten the reputation of the Prime Minister and undermines Malaysia’s electoral politics, rule of law and democracy.
Anwar Ibrahim has a long established and celebrated record as a remarkably popular and effective political leader and public intellectual. His contributions, accomplishments and integrity have been acknowledged for many years in Malaysia, throughout the Muslim world and in the international community.
The Malaysian government should not follow the same path that it did in 1998. Instead of persecuting opposition politicians, it should allow Malaysia’s important democratic process to continue.

The problem with DSAI is that he is well known and respected by so many intellectuals worlwide. Because those people know Anwar creditibility and calibre. This has made umno politicians envy and jealous of him. This include mahathir as well. Inilah dia mereka tak dapat sampai ke tahap Anwar lalu kedengkian membuat mereka berusaha untuk menjatuhkan beliau. Rakyat Malaysia mestilah pandai memilih antara kaca dan permata. Yg mana intan yg mana batu. Yg mana bolih membawa negara ke mercu kejayaan dan kepercayaan antarabangsa.Baik di mata pemimpin Islam mahupun bukan Islam serata dunia.

i appreaciate your statement,it is very impotant that people holding such a high position like you sir to write and give some alert to the malaysian government who are know doing things totally irrational without sensitive about surrounding situation.what happen to datuk sri anwar ibrahim can be considered as the worst political conspirasy in modern era.no muslim or christian shoul ever condone such an act happening before our eyes.i hope allah will save him from this mallicious and cruel intention of some people in government,again as responsible malaysian i would like to thank you for your concern sir.
Bad governance by the BeEnd is giving bad reputation to Malaysia in every aspect. If nothing is done Malaysia will end up like those countries as Mynmar, Zimbabwe. Semua orang terlalu taksub dgn DSAI. Belum lagi melalui proses perbicaraan, semua orang dah kata dia tak bersalah. Please use your brain la….kalau dah tahu memang tak buat benda tu, apa nak takut? Kita orang Islam, ada Allah yang akan melindungi kita, lebih-lebih lagi kalau memang kita dianiaya…sebab doa orang yg teraniya akan dimakbulkan oleh Allah. So, nak takut apa lagi.
Ini lah masalah nya , kalau terlalu taksub, pemimpin yg rendah moralnya, tak yakin pada kuasa Allah pun boleh jadi idola dan pengikut2 dia yg buta mata & hati, boleh pulak kata , he is the only person yang boleh membawa negara ke mercu kejayaan….Apa, nak jadi dgn dunia sekarang ni. Dh tak tahu yg mana benar dan yg salah…Semoga Allah sentiasa melindungi negara Malaysia yg tercinta ini dan melenyapkan/menghancurkan mereka yg bersalah. Amin….
Yang buat tuduhan ialah orang dia jugak…so. tak pasal2 kerajaan pulak yg kena. Lepas kerajaan dituduh berkonspirasi, polis, hakim dan yang terbaru, hospital Kula lumpur pula dituduh cuba memalsukan laporan perubatan. Tak pasal2, doktor pun kena jugak…Boleh ke orang
berkonspirasi hinggakan melibatkan sejumlah orang yg ramai dari saksi2, polis, hakim, doktor dan byk lagi. Siapa yg nak bagi tahu mereka ni, apa yg nak dikata semasa perbicaraan di mahkahmah. Kita pun tak tahu apa soalan dari peguambela..so macam mana nak jawab? Itulah tujuannya perbicaraan. Ada pendakwaraya dan peguambela supaya orang yg terlibat mendapat keadilan. Bukan senang nak berkonspirasi…mulut tempayan boleh ditutup , tapi mulut manusia tak boleh.
Bagi saya, percayalah kepada Allah dan kuasaNya. Biarpun kalau kerajaan, atau polis, atau hakim atau sesiapa saja cuba nak menganiya DSAI(kalau memang DSAI benar2 tak buat) , percayalah..usaha itu tak akan berjaya. Allah bersama-sama orang yg benar. Tapi, kalau DSAI didapati bersalah, jgn pulak kata kerajaan tipu dan sebagainya. Katalah…itu takdir daripada Allah. Orang yg salah, tidak akan dilindungi Allah. So, memanglah dia bersalah.
Sekarang ni, bukannya saya rasa tak senang sebab harga barang & minyak naik, tapi sebab banyaknya fitnah yang bermaharajalela. Hari ini, manusia dah tak takut pada Allah.

my answer : You are right. We must always support the truth. You will see the evidence in the court during the trial. How can you say “So far no convincing evidence shown by another side”. You waitla…until the case start.

Actually, We are very lucky, staying in Malaysia. Our government are doing good to the peoples. But of course, no government in the world 100% perfect. We are still considered good if you compare to our neighbouring country. What i noticed, our government is trying hard to help our peoples especially to those in low or medium income group.
