Cut the crap. Dr Syahril, are you really qualified or are you a mouth piece of UMNO? There are so many walking around that claim to be qualified but don’t have any calibre. You seem to be contradicting yourself about DSAI’s DNA sample. First you said, ‘DNA tak pernah dimakan usia oleh itu tidak ada sebab specimen baru perlu diambil dari DSAI.’ This Dr Syahril is also locally employed and therefore probably have connections with the BN big guns and prompted by them to say whatever possible to get new DNA sample from DSAI. Whose fault is it if the earlier sample is not handled properly? Further as I said earlier, DNA from any source can be extracted if the specialists are fully qualified. When you watch discovery channel on real ‘crime and investigation’ do you think the criminal is standing beside the investigators ready to give his/her DNA to implicate him/her directly to a crime? If that is the case we need not require any forensic expert to solve crimes. Dr Syahril watch out you are incriminating yourself with your stupid comments.
DSAI has been a threat to the present BN govt as Mahathir is the one who fixed him up. Mahathir, being a doctor himself will make sure that DSAI’s DNA sample should be safeguarded at all cost in case he becomes a problem again. How can the DNA of a person involved in a high profile case be, ’sampel terdahulu mungkin telah rosak akibat tidak dijaga atau tidak diuruskan dengan baik.’ Mahathir bukannya bodoh kerana dia tahu DSAI adalah cekap dan pandai. DNA baru tidak perlu. Walauapapun alasan itu menunjukan samada pihak perwajib gagal menyimpan contohnya dgn baik dan sempurna atau DNA ini telah disapu pada seluar/tilam saiful. Ini kerana contoh DNA bolih diketahui tarikh ianya diambil.
Olih itu jelas sekali rakyat meragui untuk apa contoh DNA baru diperlukan. Walaupun pakar forensik luar diambil/dibuat odit kpd jabatan forensik hospital…banyak keraguan bolih timbul akan bagaimana DNA baru ini tidak akan disapu pada seluar dalam/tilam saiful…Kita sudah loya mendengar jawapan tape recording kerajaan…supaya percayalah siasatan ini adalah dibuat dgn adil/telus.
Berbalik perjumpaan Muzakarah UMNO-PAS. UMNO dlm senyap telah memancing wakil MP PAS yg dianggap lemah semangat juang supaya bolih digula-gulakan.Hasilnya:
1) Kemenangan moral kpd PM/UMNO yg ada wakil MP PAS yg bolih diajak berunding dlm soal melayu dan islam
2) Mat Toyol kat Selangor berjanji akan memberi jawatan MB kpd PAS dan dia sendiri sanggup sebagai Tim.MB….Ha ha ha ini kerot busuk digantung olih UMNO utk dimakan olih PAS….tapi satidak-tidaknya UMNO dah dpt mengukur tahap keimanan dan tamak ahli PAS…Ini membuatkan rakyat bangsa lain akan tergugat kepercayaan mereka sahingga kePRU13 nanti…Ingat peristiwa ini akan disimpan dlm arkib media dan akan digunakan pada pilihanraya kecil atau PRU13.
3) Sekarang butir-butir perjumpaan pertama didedahkan olih BN/UNMO atau PAS demi mempertahankan pendirian masing-masing. Tapi umpan ini adalah sudah cukup utk UMNO menambahkan lagi reka-cerita mereka yg akan digunakkan nanti.
4) BN/UMNO sedang menyerang PR dgn bermacam-macam strategi hasil dari mesyuarat UMNO di-Selangor pada bulan Mei lepas. Taktik kotor UMNO/BN sedang dicucuk dlm PR dan satu demi satu akan dedahkan.
5) PM AAB kata sudah 3 kali perjumpaan diadakan. Sekarang kita nak lihat pendedahan baru UMNO hasil perjumpaan ke-2 dan ke-3!!!!!!. Siaplah wahai PR/PAS.
6) Mat Toyol Selangor kata beliau mahu melihat PM AAB/NTR/TGNA/DSWA/TGHH duduk semeja sama-sama bermuzakarah menyelesaikan masaalah perpaduan org melayu dan islam.

DNA can be also obtained from hairs or skin. Unfortunately they cannot be percik into tilam unlike blood. If you want DNA for profile…dun need blood brader! Watch la CSI kalau tak faham forensik. There is a whole 8 season of it (not including miami,and new york:0)

On Existing DNA sample too old, says PM
DR PR: Why must Syed Hamid Albar and the PM coax Anwar Ibrahim to give a blood specimen? What interest do they have in this episode if it is not political? The survival or demise of BN depends on the outcome of this case.
The Mahathir family and the DPM have their worries too. The PM and Syed Hamid have said that Anwar has nothing to fear and foreign experts may obtain the specimen. Either they do not understand or pretend not to understand the fears of DSAI.
To put it bluntly, a blood or serum specimen from DSAI could be introduced by catheter into the rectum of the complainant (or mixed in vitro ie. with Saiful’s specimen outside of the body in a test tube) and any sample taken from Saiful will show the presence of Anwar’s DNA.
Thus Anwar will be found to guilty of sodomy. Simple. I have two suggestions to get around this problem:
1. Get a foreign DNA expert to obtain a specimen from Saiful, create a DNA profile, seal the results and leave it with the court under security (or should it be double security?).
Subsequently, get Anwar’s specimen and compare his DNA profile with that obtained from Saiful.
2. The other option would be to radio-label Anwar’s specimen. If the radio isotope is detectable in Saiful’s specimen, then you will know that it has been planted.
Kemungkinan DNA dah rosak atau dah takdak. Data DNA memang ada tapi depa nak buat apa, nak match kat pungkok sapa. Depa mau fresh DNA untuk diletak di mana-mana kot. La ni depa dok kepanasan cam mana nak charge si Anwar ni. Dari Pak Lah sampai le ke bapak si Sayfool dok merayu tolong lah bagi DNA. Dulu depa ingat karier politik Anwar dah hancuk, sangkaan mereka meleset bila PRU12 depa menang tipis. Jangan dok bagi, biaq depa nangis tak berlagu…tengok apa depa nak buat, nak tumbuk lagi? Sebab tu sampai sekarang tak leh nak buat pendakwaan. Lagi satu, depa dok tangguh pulak kes pilihanraya Kulim. Itu depa tak mahu Anwar bertanding la tu.

It’s true there are so many possibilities. The fact is they already have record of DSAI DNA which is i believe is in the physical form for our human possible eye comparison. The many possibilities of this CONSPIRACY requesting for new DNA is obvious that the previous DNA is tainted with those involved in the previous case or probably all used up or perhaps DOLLAH can provide more relevant excuses. Should the previous DNA being tainted then it will show in a new test for the current case. That’s why they keep insisting for new DNA specimen.
If there’s no CONPIRACY or WHATSOEVER, why the sudden need for NEW LAW to be table at parliament that required any suspect to submit their DNA ???????? AND WHY they want to get the NEW LAW pass within such short time ???????? Is it because they just had to get DSAI by coming up with this NEW LAW ????????
DOLLAH said the previous specimen was TOO OLD but how on earth would he SUGGEST for the NEW LAW to collect DNA samples of criminals/suspects for DNA bank ???????? DOES DOLLAH knows what he is talking about or is he still only half awake ??????? DOES he realise he talking rubbish and contradicting himself with each statements ????????
It’s obvious that MALAYSIA need new leadership soon to get our country out of trouble and hardship. Imagine a small neighbouring country withour resources are doing better in so many ways by leaps and bound.
I remember when our RINGGIT was of higher in value than our small neighbour but see for yourself now. We are not getting the recognition from the world anymore. So what if we have TWIN TOWERS or F1 ? OUR value has gone down and all our effort is lost. It’s time for change and i hope that change will not take too long. Don’t matter who is to become the leader but he must be CAPABLE is doing his job to steer OUR COUNTRY and drive it’s economy to respectable standard. We have so much in OUR COUNTRY that it’s a real shame for not doing well. We are being mismanaged by a group of ALIGATORS and SHARKS, these are blood suckers that must be done away or we the MALAYSIAN will suffer and pay the price. We as the people of MALAYSIA must determine for ourselves that no ALIGATORS or SHARKS to run OUR COUNTRY. So, i call on all to do their part for the good of ourselves. PLEASE.

maybe dsai should do your own profilling of dna with witness of well repected judges (those in 1998), doctors with present of press broacast on line and make them shut up. so the new government can be form for better future.

Malang sekali bagi kita,apabila asyik berseloroh, bermain dengan penderitaan orang.Manakan boleh,malah tidak pantas bagi kita menilai DSAI ini hanya politician biasa,tidak lebih dari itu.Kita samakan beliau dengan orang-orang politik kebanyakan yang mana halatuju politik mereka tidak pernah tersingkap,ternyata di minda-minda yang mampu berfikir dengan sedikit kewarasan.Manusia ini,kalau rajin-rajin kita turuti kronologi kehidupannya,ternyata beliau tidak sempat,pernah terlanjur berfoya-foya mengecapi keseronokan dalam hidup ini, seperti mana,riang gembiranya mereka -mereka yang lain yang setaraf,seangkatan dengan beliau.Orang ini diahirkan umpama lilin membakar diri demi keselesaan kehidupan rakyat.Manakan tidak,Lupakah kita akan sejarah kebangkitan Anwar Ibrahim membela nasib rakyat yang menderita,hinggakan empunya diri rela dipenjarakan.Dikala itu beliau masih muda belia,masih di universiti.Ramai pemuda seangkatan beliau dimasa itu,tidak pun mengambil pusing akan penderitaan masyarakat/rakyat.Beliau belajar bukan demi memperkayakan empunya diri,malah pengajian tinggi itu hanya buat bekalan mengiringi perjuangan agung yang bakal ditempohi sepenuhnya dalam kehidupan mendatang.

Shobhan,the article in this blog is a BM version of what has been printed in the Sun. You let your emotion reads the article. As you’ve wrote “First you said, ‘DNA tak pernah dimakan usia oleh itu tidak ada sebab specimen baru perlu diambil dari DSAI.’ This Dr Syahril is also locally employed and therefore probably have connections with the BN big guns and prompted by them to say whatever possible to get new DNA sample from DSAI”. It seems that you dont understand syahril’s statement clearly. Any idiot reading his statement wld know that Syahril does not think that fresh DSAI DNA sample is needed in the current situation. In addition, in the article printed in the Sun, in the Sidebar entitled “Possible reasons why new specimen is sought”, the first paragraph said “As DNA does not change with age, there is no reason why a new specimen is sought from DSAI, Dr Syahril Abdullah SAID.” Syahril also SPECULATES the reasons why fresh DNA is needed by the current government. In the last paragraph, he mentioned about the CODIS database as well. Does that sounds as if Syahril is anti-Anwar? Please read the whole article (from the Sun) and don’t let your emotion clouds your judgement. I think he’s not siding anyone. He’s not pro-Anwar, and he’s not pro-Pak Lah. His article is truly based from the academic perspective only. Before you hentam orang, get your fact straight. I believe that Dr Syahril is a real person with good background on DNA technology which he acquired after many-many years of studying and working in one of the prestigious labs oversea, not from just sitting on the couch watching the Discovery channel.

Satu lagi tambahan… Dr Shahril ni dah memberi gambaran sebenar ketidak-cekapan pengendali penyiasatan di negara kita ni. Dengan ini tidak secara langsung telah memperkukuhkan lagi tindakan DSAI untuk tidak memberi contoh DNA.
Jika terpaksa juga, saya cadangkan DNA profile dibuat oleh penganalisis luar yang berkecuali dan keputusan diberikan kepada mereka yang berkenaan.

Vai, please read Dr Chen’s answer to the many controversies on this subject. You said that I am just sitting and watching Discovery channel, but to tell you the truth I major in Biology and I know the facts surrounding DNA , not as much as the learned doctor knows, I agree. I mentioned Discovery channel to open the eyes of the public at large. If you want an argument on this issue then I am game for it. Dr Syahril has opened himself to criticism because he did not keep to the topic in question. Here I am discussing why DSAI should not give his DNA to anyone.
Vai, please look up sunwayopal’s comment that if a DNA profile of DSAI was done in 1998, the PROFILE DOES NOT CHANGE!!!!. There has been a no of times DSAI’s blood taken while in detention. So what need is there it should be taken now!!!! Remember we are discussing DSAI’s case not just any hypothetical case!!!!
Reading through your article again Vai, I came across this, ‘ Syaril also speculates the reason why fresh DNA is needed by the govt.’ This line clearly defines whose side Syaril is on, doesn’t it VAI? Or are these your own words? Clarify please! I thought in a criminal case it is the police and the investigating team that are legally required to press someone for the information leading to the crime, logically speaking.
You see, I am actually not interested in politics but I am drawn to this because as a rakyat I feel I have an obligation to see justice is done to a person who may be unfairly treated by a corrupt govt. I think it is every rakyat’s duty to see that there is fairplay in our judiciary and govt, don’t you agree? DSAI is a rakyat like you and me and he deserves a fair and just trial? Dear Shobhan….according to the article by the Sun, Dr. Syahril clearly “SAID” that there is NO NEED for new DNA from DSAI IF the old DNA is being preserved well and he also implied that the DNA profile doesnt change even if it is million years old. To be fair to both sides, syahril also said the reason why the present government wants the DNA may be due to the reasons…bla bla bla….BUT NOT due to the age of the DNA. Please read the original article by the Sun. If you still don’t understand, i seriously think you should revert back to darjah lima to study comprehension, stop watching Discovery channel and watch Nickelodeon channel instead. Dear Shobhan, no one else questioned Dr. Syahril’s statement. So i believe that everyone understood his article, even if it was in BM. The article has been retracted back by the request of syahril himself (though the facts remain as they were). Therefore, there’s a strong possibility that syahril is reading the responses to his article too. Btw, apologies accepted. Take care.
Dear Shobhan - sorry if I have shouted it loud. But you did first -shouting it out at Dr Syahril by undermining Dr Syaril’s qualification and integrity as a scientist. This is what you said: “Cut the crap. Dr Syahril, are you really qualified or are you a mouth piece of UMNO? There are so many walking around that claim to be qualified but don’t have any calibre. You seem to be contradicting yourself about DSAI’s DNA sample.”
Perhaps I have to learn manners - so have you! Since you have apologised to Dr Syahril I leave it at that. Someone from PKR sang a song to me. Apparently the article was pulled out because someone in the academia took Syahril to task over his independent comments though others in the same corridors of academia are of the opinion that he was merely answering a question from the media simply because he believes that scientists owe the public an explaination and cannot like the scientists of old live in ivory towers and get their great inventions and discoveries peer-evaluated and published in their own sacrosanct science journals.
Science is constantly evolving and cannot stop making news - hence scientists cannot shy away from the public eye or from the media. Although there are silly regulations in the country as to who should speak to the media and who should not I think Dr Syahril spoke on the premise that public interest is of paramount importance.
