Di celah kesibukan berunding dengan pimpinan KeADILan, Pas, DAP dan ahli-ahli Parlimen, sempat juga saya melayani permintaan rakan saya, Penerbit dan Pengarah filem Hindustan yang terkenal Akbar Khan.

Beliau mengirim fillem tersebut khas untuk tontonan saya sebelum diedar kepada khalayak nantinya. Saya membuat catatan ringkas buat beliau dan saya paparkan buat saudara-saudari.

Ha, ternyata kisah cinta, intrig istana, permulaan era keruntuhan empayar Moghul ini lebih hebat dari Sivaji the Boss!

Bravo! A splendid production and superb directing. Its amazing how you have been able to bring to life what would otherwise have been mere historical figures or “monuments”.

What I find brilliant is the manner you built up the emotional tension between Shah Jehan and Mumtaz that builds up and breaks into true passionate love. I am reminded of Ayn Rand’s classic dictum about the central importance of conflict and resolution to be followed continuously until catharsis. It may sound a tad dry in philosophy but in this case you have brought out with great dramatic effect.

I must say that you did justice to the grandeur of this epic story by sparring no effort in respect to the meticulous historical records,
the period costume, the magnificent props and the spectacular scenes.

I will no do justice if I fail to recognise the remarkable performance of Kabir Bedi and other main characters.

Naushad’s music is undoubtedly phenomenal. His composition is absolutely soothing to the mind and a great comfort to the soul. The haunting thematic refrain that is heard throughout produces the emotional sensation of serenity with intermittent bout of sadness.

Well dear friend, I am just an ordinary fan, with neither an expertise on movies nor qualifications as a critic! Frankly I enjoyed it immensely….. Once again, bravo!
