Waht happened has a positive and a negative side to it. Positive, i can say is, the Govt realised that they have been taking the Indians for a ride too long and finally some of them wanted to get off that ride. What the Indians want is more opportunity, more rights. No intention on stepping on other's rights, but more opportunities and rights. In this case, the Govt is not to be blamed but the party in that "rakyat elected govt" that is representing this minority. The party that, theoretically, supposed to look after the welfare of its people, but instead looked after the interests of its leaders. The govt would have allocated money for development, business, etc. It would not have been a very big sum but still some is better than none. But this assistance failed to "flow" down to the grass roots, to the rakyat who needed the assistance.

What went beyond the demo. should not have happened, and i am referring to some of the comments posted on news abroad. Its fuel for disaster and everyone knows that. If the govt is willing to listen to its rakyat, the rakyat who in the first place elected them out of trust, none of these would have happened. The slow but steady siphoning of opportunities from other races has to stop. In the name of development, all must be given the chance to participate.

The dissatisfaction that led to the demonstration by Hindraf on 25/11/07 is not really to alert the British Govnt. It is indirectly to tell the ruling BN that the Indian ethnic is being discriminated and ignored of privileges given to others. BN, the collusion of parties among them is MIC , proudly says “power sharing” but dare not to say sharing the privileges. They share the privileges but among the leaders as what being done in Umno. I am pity for the Indians, you have been lied by your leader in BN. You ask Samy Vello did he ever say “I am MIC but my blood and flesh is Umno” during one of election campaigns to favour and attract the heart of majority Malays in his constituency. That is why MIC leadars behave like leaders inUmno. I am a Malay, but a rakyat Malaysia like you, don’t like being fooled by Umno/BN games. It is time for change ...change the ruling parties...... change BN to BA....we need reform.......REFORMASI.

to Barrradan Kupusamy from TIME magazine,

the indians should not have blame the british for migrating them from india to malaya. instead of commiting such demonstration, they should thank british for doing that. the indians on present had agreed with the british to come to malaya. then whats the motive behind the rally?

after all of the sudden, they claimed that indian people has left much far away behind compared to any other races. they claimed that they obtained poor educations and fail to get participate in malaysian economics development. well these allegations can be considered as irresponsible accusation done by unresponsible men. everybody knows that indian person is the second-richest man in malaysia. AIMS, and many other colleges that belongs to MIC is the prove on how far the indians have achive until today.

they should be proud of what they possed now. my closest friend mutusamy. he himself disparaged the action done those demonstrators. he told me that he is shamed on what has committed by them and alleged them - traitors.

before achieving independence from british, all leaders especially from chinese and indian community had agreed to pile-up their faithfulness to the king of malaya and to construct their undevoted sentiment to their elderly country.thus they are now malaysian and not indians anymore. we are all malaysians. we have to act like it.

the indians cannot expect to equal their level with other races in term of economics prospective. when the time indians arrived to malaya, majority of the chinese and malay already have their own position in admin, managing businesses and etc. they have to bare in mind. on my view, i see the indians in malaysia has achieve much development, flew away beyond my expectation! congratulations to all indian in malaysia.
