Change is threatening even to those of us who are prepared for change. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is a strong advocate of change, not change for its own sake. In that sense, he is a challenge to those who have benefited–and are benefiting–the status quo.

He has some very concrete ideas about why change is necessary and how he wants to bring about change. This is why we must read and reflect on his vision and ideas as embodied in his New Malaysian Economic Agenda. His vision is not ant-Bumiputera. It is very supportive of the plight of the bumiputera because the majority of the community have not benefited from 37 years of NEP/DEB. He wants to change that and this is why he is concerned about distributive justice in a plural society (pengagihan adil dalam mesyarakat majmuk).

He feels that based a cool and clear analysis of facts our economy is performing well below its full potential and we can do much better than the Government’s projected 5.8% real GDP growth (with inflation at 2.1%). We need to enhance our national competitiveness so that in the next decade or so can be on par with countries like Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korea. This catch-up game is not going to be a walk in the part because our economic competitors are not waiting for us to catch up. In fact, they are forging ahead with even greater. There is plenty to do to clean up the current mess.

KeADILan is a party founded on justice for all and will be humane in its approach to change so that the less advantaged are not further penalised, but empowered to partake in the benefits of strong and sustained economic growth with price stability. Lest it be misunderstood he is very pro-business in his orientation. Corporations, SMEs and entrepreneurs should, therefore, support his economic agenda. He also very pro-Labour.

That is why we need bold and dynamic leadership which Anwar Ibrahim can provide. Having worked with him closely in recent months, I am convinced of his sincerity and focus. Let us give him the chance to put his years of experience in government and policy making (as Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister) and his international reputation and networking, especially in the Muslim world (something which is overlooked because the BN propaganda is saying that he is Pro-US and a strong neo-conservative) to work for our country.

Anwar Ibrahim is pro-Malaysia and pro-progress but he is also a realist.

many people will go and listen to Anwar Ibrahim and they love his oratory but when comes to the crunch …. the Malays are very much a divided people …they will vote BN !

some are die-hard PAS supporters who want nothing less than an Islamic State believing as if they can put down in writing the Divine Syariah or for that matter the Quran and Sunnah into some kind of written Constitution, Acts, Ordinances and Regulations ….

granted they can, but to the limit of human understanding, ie meaning the Law Drafters understanding, their worldviews, their education, their discernment, their levels and degrees of YAKIN …

then, it conjures the logic or reasoning, why the hell do you need written Constitution if your degree of YAKIN, discernment, knowledge, understanding and say “taqwa” ….you deserve to be the leaders … but these human interpreted laws, regulations and ordinances as for the public at large ….and they constitute the larger mass of people than the extremely few men of justice

Only men of justice will try and rule with fairness and just, as you see fit and conforming to your understanding, and comprehension to the Divine Syariah …. that’s why we cannot have rotten Chief Justices ..

Now, coming to die-hard UMNO people and its card-carrying cadres. they are just ignorant and confused about their identity as Malays or as Muslims …… at least the die-hard PAS member claims themselves to be Muslim thru’ and thru’ ….ie in their estimation.

Masalah dihadapan pengundi pengundi kampung, luar dan dalam bandar, pemerhati politik dan pengundi atas pagar. Mereka inilah manusia yang berkuasa membentuk Kerajaan BN pada waktu waktu negara belum menghadapi apa apa masalah.

Bagaimana kalau hari ini mereka ini terhimpit dengan keadaan kos hidup yang melambung tinggi? Harga minyak yang terus naik? Harga gas naik? Semua naik segala rupa barang barang keperluan mereka. Adakah mereka mahu lagi memberi undi mereka kepada BN?

Semua rakyat tahu, Petronas untung. Semua pengundi kampung tahu TNB untung, Jabatan Air untung. Kenapa harga petrol mahal? Kenapa bill letrik mahal? Kenapa bill Air mahal? Jawabnya rasuah dari ikan bilis hingga kepada high profile. Tapi yang malang sekali ikan bilis sahaja ditangkap. High profile dibiarkan kerana mereka KALIS undang undang.

Kalau kita katakan perkara rasuah ini ada berlaku diMalaysia dibawah Kerajaan UMNO/BN mereka melenting lalu melebelkan kita sebagai penulis posting anti Melayu, anti UMNO anti Islam. Saya pulangkan kepada PENGUNDI sama ada ahli ahli UMNO/BN mahu buat undi PROTES dalam PRU akan datang atau tidak? Senang dan susahnya adalah PENGUNDI yang tanggung sendiri. Apa lagi bersedia BUAT LAH.

Saya tertarik dengan coretan sdr mengenai ceramah DSAI di Pandan. Memang tidak dapat dinafikan DSAi memang merupakan pemidato yang baik. Orang akan terpesona dan boleh menambat hati para pendengar. Ceramah DSAI juga boleh mengubah pemikiran orang yang mendengarnya.

Namun begitu walaupun kehadiran rakyat ramai, apakah kita pasti kita mampu membawa perubahan dalam arus politik negara. Saya juga turut hadir dalam ceramah malam tersebut (juga dalam beberapa ceramah yang lain). Apa yang boleh saya katakan bahawa kebanyakan yang hadir dalam ceramah ceramah DSAI atau ceramah para pemimpin BA, adalah orang yang sama ataupun mereka yang memang menyokong kepada perubahan.

Saya ingin mencadangkan kepada sdr sebagai ketua staff di pejabat DSAI dan keADILan (setelah saya melihat ketua Penerangan keADILan - Tian Chua - gagal memainkan peranannya sebagai ketua Penerangan) dapat mengatur bagai majlis penerangan kita dapat menemui sasaran kita terutama mereka yang di atas pagar.

Selain daripada program ceramah-ceramah umum, saya ingin mencadangn agar keADILan dapat menumpukan kepada sessi ceramah kelompok - yang lebih menumpukan kumpulan sasaran yang tepat. Kita gerakan seluruh jentera keADIlan melaksanakan program ini. Kalau boleh serentak setiap minggu dalam setiap kawasan parlimen dapat diadakan serentak sekurang-kurasng 5 ceramah kelompok.

Dalam ceramah kelompok itu antara pengisian yang boleh kita terangkan kepada rakyat ia;ah
a. Penyelewengan yang dilakukan oleh kerajaan (kalau boleh dedahkan laporan audit negara)
b. Apa yang kita jangkakan yang akan berlaku kalau BN masih memerintah seperti lebih banyak penyelewengan yang akan berterusan, minyak naik, tol naik, barang naik dan lain-lain.
c. Apa tawaran kita sekiranya kita mentadbir negara ini (bukan memerintah kerana istilah memerintah lebih dekat kepada ditaktor seperti BN - kecuali kalau dikaitkan dengan ALlah - memang ALLah berhak memerintah hambaNya)

Isu-isu yang akan kita bangkitkan dalam setiap ceramah, haruslah dekat dengan hati rakyat dan mereka oleh memahaminya. Kadang-kadang isu seperti video VK lingam kalau tidak diolah dengan betul gagal difahami oleh rakyat. Madsudnya orang-orang di luar bandar kurang peduli siapa yang berkuasa melantik hakim-hakim - seperti dalam Video VK Lingam. Tapi kalau kita kaitkan dengan kehidupan mereka seperti kalau tanah mereka dirampas - dalam kes tanah FELDA - hakim yang dilantik semua dibeli dan ditentukan oleh seseorang, sudah tentu tanah mereka akan hilang tanpa dibela dengan adil. Hujah-hujah seumpama ini saya perhatikan akan kurang kita utarakan. Balik-balik soal rasuah kapal selam, Sukhoi yang tidak dapat difahami oleh rakyat biasa kerana tidak berkaitan dengan hidup mereka.

Saya fikir sudah sampai masanya kita tanam dalam pemikiran rakyat tentang slogan kita UBAH SEBELUM PARAH UBAH DEMI MARUAH. Rakyat harus difahamkan dengan slogan ini dan menjadi sebutan harian. Kta harus cari jalan bagaimana untuk kita semarakkan slogam ini. Kempen penyebaran slogam ini harus kita laksanakan segera. Saya lihat cara yang paling berkesan dalam melalui penyebaran stiker kereta - orang boleh lihat hari-hari.
