Rakaman video ini melibatkan pejabat kehakiman tertinggi dalam konspirasi untuk mempengaruhi perjalanan sistem keadilan negara. Ia melibatkan campurtangan seorang peguam yang penuh dengan kontroversi dari sejarah penglibatannya dalam perkara yang menimbulkan syak wasangka dan seterusnya membawa kepada skandal yang melibatkan perlantikan hakim-hakim negara.
Pada tahun 1994, satu gambar menunjukkan VK Lingam dan Ketua Hakim Negara ketika itu Tun Eusoffe Chin cuti bersama di New Zealand dalam situasi yang melampaui tatasusila professional dan pengendalian yang tidak beretika Ketua Hakim tersebut. Lingam juga terlibat dalam laporan audit skandal Perwaja Steel oleh PriceWaterhouseCoopers yang dibentangkan di Parlimen yang melibatkan kerugian berbillion ringgit wang rakyat.
Dalam video ini, Lingam dirakam berbicara dengan Ketua Hakim Negara, Tun Ahmad Fairuz Abdul Halim di mana nama saya, antara lain, disebut secara khusus.
Perbicaraan tersebut adalah dalam konteks konspirasi untuk mempengaruhi lantikan hakim kanan dan campurtangan badan kehakiman. Oleh itu, kami mempunyai sebab kukuh dan percaya bahawa perbualan pada tahun 2002 ini menentukan hasil beberapa perbicaraan mahkamah penting, termasuk kes saya.
Video ini juga melibatkan Vincent Tan dan Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. Vincent Tan adalah seorang ahli perniagaan dan jutawan judi yang dikatakan terlibat mempengaruhi proses kehakimam dalam kes Ayer Molek. Tengku Adnan pula adalah pemimpin UMNO dan ahli kabinet yang terlibat dalam konspirasi politik untuk menjatuhkan saya pada tahun 1998.

Statement by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on the VK Lingham Video Scandal
This video recording implicates the highest office of judiciary in a conspiracy to pervert the cause of justice through the machinations of a lawyer tainted with a scandalous history involving questionable dealings and conduct that brings disrepute to the legal and judicial professions.
In 1994, lawyer VK Lingham was photographed with the then Chief Justice Tun Eusoffe Chin holidaying in New Zealand under circumstances that would give rise to the inference of a serious breach of professional conduct on part of the lawyer and even more serious implications of unethical conduct on the part of the Chief Justice. Lingham was also implicated in the PricewaterhouseCoopers report which was tabled to Parliament following a thorough audit investigation of the Perwaja Steel scandal involving the loss of billions of ringgit of taxpayers’ money.
In this video, Lingham was seen and heard to be talking to the current Chief Justice of the Federal Court, Tun Ahmad Fairuz Abdul Halim wherein my name, among others, is specifically mentioned.
It is mentioned in the context of a conspiracy to influence the appointment of senior judges and pervert the cause of justice. In view of this, we have reason to believe that whatever has transpired in this exchange in 2002 had some bearing on the outcomes in a number of judicial proceedings, including mine.
The video also implicates Vincent Tan and Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. The former is a businessman and gaming tycoon who was allegedly at the center of a scandal involving the abuse of the judicial process now known as the Ayer Molek case. The latter is a prominent Umno leader and a member of the Cabinet who was involved in the political conspiracy to remove me in 1998.
Such a scandalous expose, as indeed this video really is, only serves to corroborate our allegations of a political conspiracy of the highest level and corruption of the highest judicial office, seriously bringing into question the impartiality of judicial proceedings involving the affected parties. This is matter of utmost public importance and we demand the setting up of an Independent Tribunal to investigate this shameful and scandalous episode.
In this regard, we make a special appeal to the conference of rulers to continue to play their constitutionally entrenched role in safeguarding the rights of the people by exercising their discretionary powers in all matters within their jurisdiction.

theres no question that the judiciary is subjected to corruption and manupulation.It is really sickenning.the Atantuya murder case is a glaring example. To me this reflect the leadership of the government,the prime minister.Then , we condenmed Dr Mahathir . I’m about to jump off the fence and support you. Before I do that I want to suggest that the Keadilan logo be something-anything else-other than the present moon. In the past elections it was easy to frighten voters by Barisan to just say your party is religious-based as apparent from your logo. Believe me, in this part of the country that I lived in, this scare-tactic worked very effectively.
I would just suggest a more multi-racial concept like clenched colored arms in a square formation, etc. as the dacing is already cleverly used by we know who. Think of the many illiterate or semi-illiterate voters who interpret images!

Pengalaman saya sendiri memerhati satu kes kira beberapa bulan sebelum kes DSAI, diantara kakak saya menuntut hakcipta skrip drama yang dicuri oleh TV3 dan penal penulis skrip TV3. Hakim pertama yang memberikan injunksi melarang TV3 menayangkan darama tersebut terus ditukar ke jawatan lain dan disalianggantikan dengan beberapa hakim bukan Melayu yang sukar untuk memahami kes yang melibatkan bahasa kesustaraan menyebabkan kes ini tertangguh begitu lama, mungkin dengan harapan kakak saya akan mati dulu sebelum kes ini diselesaikan. Tiada apa lagi yang boleh diharapkan dari sistemini.

I cannot find the words to describe my feelings about the state of the judiciary. I am a lawyer and I felt sick when I was watching the video. The allegations are serious and has to be investigated by an independent commission. The sad thing is it would be impossible to find someone independent who could investigate this allegations as most of the “prominent” personalities in Malaysia have some connections to the government. We need to bring foreign judges to weed out the lalangs in our judiciary. I would not even suggest the AG investigate this as he may have been in it as well. The judges who are involved have undermined their oath of office to uphold the Malaysian Constitution and the law. VK Lingam now an embattled officer of the High Court of Malaya has brought disrepute to the Legal profession and consequence for this is that he must be struck off the roll. Another matter of interest is that the way VKs’ spoke was an embarassment to people who speak English.Where did he get a law degree?? On the light side, I was under the impression that Parliment and the Council of Rulers appointed judges so it was a surprise to know that VK Lingam has been the appointer of judges for a while. VK Lingam and his croonies have committed a treacherous act. They have shaken the pillar of justice by hijacking the judiciary to serve their own interest and have risks the lives of other Malaysians who rely on the judiciary for justice. I must also reiterate that most of our judges are reputable but we do not know who they are as our vision is blurred by the current allegations. It is time Malaysians of integrity show the government that this cannot be tolerated anymore. Those involved must now come out and face the music.

Gua sikity sikit pening sama lu , lu kata demokrasi , tapi apa pasai lu punya famili semua ada terlibat dalam politik?/ lu punya anak nama Puteri reformasi . lu punya bini nama Ratu reformasi ….lu pulak tak lak nama Raja Reformasi ??

Guan manyak hairan , kalau lu punya parti menang, ini malaysia mesti jadi satu buah syarikat, itu macam Lee Kuan Yew punya famili style, semua olang dalam famili jadi menteri..haha , apa lu mahu cakap ?? ada sesuatu yang menyedihkan..setelah 50 tahun merdeka bahasa melayu masih dianaktirikan termasuklah orang melayu sendiri..pergi mana2 sekarang ni payah sangat nak tengok perkataan dalam bahasa melayu..yang bermaharajalela sekarang bahasa inggeris..kalau kat pulau pinang,bhs inggeris dan cina tapi yang lagi pelik cikgu bahasa melayu pun tak reti nak cakap bahaa melayu dengan baik,bangga cakap bahasa rojak..mana pergi UMNO yang kata HIDUP MELAYU..kalau maruah bahasa sendiri pun tak boleh nak bela tak payah la nak berlagak keluarkan keris..biar keris tu makan UMNO balik..Harap2 kalau PEMBANGKANG menang tolonglah kembalikan semula maruah bahasa melayu..semua bersatu tegakan keadilan dan jadikan bahasa melayu sebagai bahasa perpaduan..

korang nie baru setahun jagung pandai dok kata tue nie….sikit2 rasuah…kenapa anwar tu tahu bab2 rasuah…sblm TPM dia kan menteri kewangan selama 8thun berturut2. kalo baik sgt nape membiarkan serta meluluskan menteri2 rasuah…anwar tue mcm siti, mentang2 nampak baik ape dia buat semua ok.kalo zilla rampas suami org..siap gam. Helo beb, anwar setiusaha agong ABIm mengunakan utk menetang DR.M…Bila je Dr.M tawar menteri…terus je terima tanpa persetujuan ABIM..sampai anggota ABIM ilang arah masuk Pas…Biar org kata kita bodoh tapi tak JAHIL…JAHIL2x
Parti poltik mana pun sama je baik buruknya,yg tak sama ialah ahli pemimpinnya. olih itu pada semua pemimpin kayakan hati dulu baru lah jadi pemimpin rakyat dan memimpin dalam kerajaan. Kalau tidak 2×5 juga lah, atau buah peli** dgn batu peli** je lah.
