   slmt hari raya kurban 1427H. pilihanraya kecil dun batu talam, pahang rakyat akan tetap memilih bn….saya berani bet klu dgn segelas tehtarik restoran syed lucky garden, bangsar. maaf atas pandangan saya. hati rakyat sudah bebal ditambah takut, resahgelisah, tambahan lagi dgn machinery bn yg welloiled seluruh negara menyerbu turun bantu apa sahaja. wahai pemilih2 dun batu talam bersedialah kamu utk ‘beraya’ selama lebihkurang 2 minggu lepas tu kembali jalani kehidupan harian macam biasa. untung juga mungkin ada last minute tambahan binatang ternakan untuk kurban tahun ni. takziah kpd ahli2 keluarga arwah datuk tengku paris. al fatihah

   First off, I am amazed at the insensitivity shown by all the commentators. The honorable ADUN from Batu Talam passed away just 2 days ago, and everyone is already fighting for his seat. Let his family grieve and conduct the rituals that they should before we even begin to talk about the Batu Talam DUN seat.

   Dato Seri, the concept of a Madani society sounds similar to that of Hadhari. Perhaps you could differentiate it for me.

   On the issue of the ISA, the world nowadays considers it a necessary evil since it is now a globally recongnised law with different names for every country. The US has it, Britain has it, Singapore has it and Malaysia has it. Sure, I would like to see it gone so that the press has more freedom, but to what extent?

   If the ISA were to be abolished, what are the pros and cons?

   There are no cons if the ISA were to be abolished. Why do we need ISA for ? Can you imagine yourself or any of your close friends or relatives being abuse in the ISA without any Law to protect their rights ?

   What if none of the accuses are accurate ? Are we going to destroy somebody future for years in the ISA due to certain individual benefit ?

   ISA is inhuman. Cruel. Against human rights and law.

   Adakah keadaan di Malaysia begitu teruk sehingga perlukan ISA ?

   Kalau jawapan ya pun kita perlu adil kepada setiap individu. Kalau seseorang bersalah pun biarlah dihadap ke muka pengadilan. ISA bukannya tuhan untuk menentukan seseorang itu benar atau tidak.

   Kalaulah ISA digunakan untuk tujuan asalnya demi mempertahankan keselamatan negara maka sebanyak sedikit masih boleh dipertimbangkan.

   Adakah kita dibutakan dengan motif tersebut ? Lihatlah sahajalah siapa yang biasa diheret ke ISA. Biasanya orang yang dianggap menjadi ancaman kepada UMNO ataupun Barisan Nasional yang akan diheret ke ISA dan bukannya mereka yang mengancam negara.

   Mereka yang mengancam keselamatan rakyat pula diberi kelonggaran ikat jamin sebanyak RM 1 juta. Mereka yang buka mulut berjuang untuk rakyat pula dimasukkan ke dalam ISA.

   Dear APU 83. Please pay a visit to ISA or read about ISA in malaysia today writes by sangri sungib or even interview those closes family and friends that are in ISA. From there you will know how cruel and evil is ISA.

    ISA ITU SENDIRI ADALAH JENAYAH!!!

    Ketua Polis Negara nak jadi ‘doktor’ agaknya, sebab itu dia kata “prevention is better than cure”.

    Misi asas kewujudan polis ialah untuk mencegah jenayah dan kekacauan. (Kenapa jenayah oleh polis semakin menjadi-jadi, hingga sanggup letupkan mayat?)

    Ujian keberkesanan polis ialah ketiadaan jenayah dan kekacauan. (Kenapa kadar jenayah meningkat sejak akhir-akhir ini?)

    Polis memelihara persepsi orang ramai dengan menjalankan perkhidmatan yang adil saksama berdasarkan undang-undang. (Kenapa bertindak berdasarkan ‘arahan eksekutif’ semata-mata? Bagaimana dengan ‘arahan rakyat’ iaitu laporan polis yang dibuat oleh rakyat terhadap eksekutif yang rasuah atau melanggar undang-undang?)

    p/s: Hang Tuah yakin bahawa kini ‘polis rakyat’ lebih ramai dari ‘polis eksekutif’. Cuma masanya belum tiba.

    okay, first of all, I am not an UMNO havoc-wrecker, like the past 3 people have commented. I actually went out on foot and put Keadilan brochures in mailboxes in Subang for the election in 1999, so I resent that.

    and I’m thinking on a global scale. Each country has a law similar to the ISA, to be utilised in case of emergencies. That’s a fact.

    So before you ask me to go back and read sejarah Malaysia, why don’t you read sejarah dunia for a bit.

    I meant no disrespect in not agreeing. What I am saying is that the ISA is there for a reason. The only reason why we see the ISA as cruel and inhuman is because of the misuse of the act itself.

    Aput83,

    I respect your opinion and appreciate that you have the right to disagree.

    To me, a person who says “prevention is better than cure” , vis-a-vis the ISA, tells me three things; one, that he has not had anyone close (be it a friend, a brother, uncle, sister, father and the like) who had undergone the trauma of being datained just because “he had farted loudly, and the fart stinks!”. That he has not felt the hurt of the emotional kind! Number two, that he has always been on the “giving” end and not the “receiving” end. Which means he can either be a police officer, OR, a ruling party member who is on the right side of the fence (at least for now). And number three, that he does NOT believe the principle of retribution, whether in this world or the next. (If he is a Muslim, then he doubts the definite coming of Hari Pembalasan)

    Anyone else OTHER than the three categories mentioned is vulnerable to the ISA, period! And I have used “farted loudly and the fart stinks“, not out of any literary genius or expert psychological science, but just that!

    THAT IS: The ISA can and will be abused. DULU, KINI dan SELAMANYA!

    No doubts about that!

    now, now. accusing people of such and such is no help in a discussion. aput83 was merely basing his argument on the fact that all the mat salleh/colonial masters have it, so it must be good. why not we have it too?

    First of all we have all sorts of legislations, this act, that act that is more than sufficient, more than necessary as tools to ensure the safety of this nation. The BN defended the use of ISA, by saying those detained are a threat to the safety of the nation, BUT BN has no proof for that. So if BN takes them to the court, BN knows the court will let them free.

    So basically those people did not do anything against the law!

    If one thinks the use of ISA is good, a cure for all, then why not we abolish all the legislations? Let the BN rule by ISA alone. We can save a lot of money not paying lawyers.

    We must hold on to the rule that no one should be punished, unless found guilty. Bring all and any trouble makers before the court, and let justice be served, or at least they will have a chance to say their defence. (and also lawyers can ‘cari makan’).

    As for Muslims, detention without trial is HARAM! This was established by the learned Dato’ Sheikh Azmi Ahmad (Former Pulau Pinang Mufti and Former Chief Justice of the Syariah Court, Wilayah Persekutuan). It has no basis or precedent in Islam.

    Well look at that, perhaps what the omputih does is not all good and Islam offers a more just system.

    aput83, there is no wonder that the UK as ISA, they introduced it here dear.

    p/s: aput83 — would you want to join me in Shah Alam to distribute leaflets before the next election. This country needs more people who do real work like you instead of those who never leave their bedroom, hooked on the net all the time.

    APUT 83 is just asking some question for the pro and cons of ISA. According to aput 83 arguement that is needed because there is good reason for the existence of it. But in reality dear APUT 83 is there any good reason of ISA ?

    Okay fair enough to say ISA is good enough to lock up those people who we suspect will do harm to the country . Even for this very good reason dont you think even people like them have their rights to defend themselves according to proper law ? And those people who we caught are not nesasary the right person. What if we caught the wrong person and there no law to prove their innocent.

    USA PARTRIOT ACT is clearly against muslims. Singapore is because their mentor minister is 1 of the world most brilliant leader but also at the same time being among the most evil. Look what happen to our innocent Chee Soon Juan. Kuan Yew type of ISA got no difference compare to Tun or even Pak Lah.

    So if they are evil then is our Mr Clean really clean ? Infact the most evil among the most evil person is the person who looks good outside but inside if full of evilness.

    So again. Out of so many example that APUT 83 gave. Can you let me know what are the cons of the implementation of this act in Malaysia and even those few country that you mention ?

    I am not against you. I respect different individual with different point of view. I admire those who have the courage who dare to speak up and even some like you who dares to be different. Keep it up.

    I am not PRO PKR. I am not PRO UMNO. I am PRO Human Rights. Infact there are better question we can ask Anwar. Why dont he against ISA when he was a DPM ? That will be a better answer.

Instead, I will be going to each gathering and asking those to be elected on community issues that concern me in Shah Alam, such as how a landslide near the state mosque has blocked up the drainage for the past 2 weeks and nothing has been done about it. Or how the only trash cans on the street are those that can be found in the parks. Or how floods can occur in this so-called bandar maju.

    And how streetlamps light up irregularly.

    Basically, I’m gonna go around and bitch about whatever I find wrong in my community, and make them pledge to make it better. And if they don’t, heck, I’ll put my name forward in the next election.

    No 2. Is still against human rights

    No 3. Is against the law where he or she cant defend themself in the court.

    I will be blogging soon about this month Suara Keadilan about how our political leader misuse the ISA for their political purpose.

    Sekiranya Datuk Seri Anwar dipihak yg benar…sambutlah cabaran dari pihak yang menuduh. Bersumpahlah dgn nama Allah SWT yg Datuk Seri tidak terlibat dgn aktiviti kaum yg dilaknat Allah SWT (iaitu kaum Nabi Lut AS).

    Jika benarlah hajat Datuk Seri ingin menjadi PM Malaysia selepas Pak Lah, buatlah solat istikharah minta petunjuk dari Allah SWT. Adakah Datuk Seri layak menjadi PM Malaysia? Adakah Datuk Seri mampu menangani segala masalah negara dengan bijaksana, adil, telus, amanah, dsbnya? Sudahkah Datuk Seri menjawab segala tuduhan dalam buku “50 Dalil…”? Adakah Datuk Seri mempunyai kepentingan dgn pihak Yahudi atau AS?

    Bersama-samalah kita berdoa kpd Allah SWT semoga mempunyai pemimpin atau PM yang berwibawa, berilmu (agama Islam dan duniawi/ukhrawi) serta berwawasan. Kita tak perlu fanatik kpd seseorang pemimpin…tiada yang perfect kecuali Allah SWT dan Rasulullah SAW.
