As a young professional, unwittingly chained to the corporate culture, I have little opportunity to read, digest, and apply the lessons of literature, past and present. So it was with pleasant surprise, whilst surfing through the net during my a few minutes between meetings, to arrive at a refreshing read from a thinking leader and incessant fighter. I believe you have the ability to communicate and share not only your own experience, but of your comtemporaries and past heroes who believed in the democratic struggle.

It is important to learn from various comtemporary commentators such as Amartya Sen, a great scholar, who I admire considerably for his thesis on development as freedom. Your thoughts on his ideas, and other Asian heroes will inspire young people to take up an interest in humanities and introduce an extra dimension to the political discourse in Malaysia. More insights to your thoughts on current issues, american foreign policy, and the Malaysian political scene will be gleaned with much interest.

Amartya Sen adalah antara salah satu penulis yg amat saya hargai. Rasanya Dato sudah baca buku beliau berjudul "Development as Freedom" terutama penekanan untuk Human rights dan social modernization. Apa pendapat Dato Seri ?

Lastly, di Malaysia, amat sukar mendapat berita yg terkini tentang Dato' Seri, boleh tak beri sedikit update tentang peranan Dato' di World Bank dan tentang tahap penglibatan kerajaan Malaysia melalui World Bank. Terima Kasih
